Navy Inn – PenzanceWe had our staff do here, we had a Xmas menu which was lovely especially the veggie option. The staff could have been cheerier! The tables were set out with posh Xmas extras which went down well. The only downside were that our party were split up onto opposite sides of the room instead of together. I would really like to go again for next Xmas.
The Garden Bar and Restaurant – PenzanceWoW Great food in a pub at pub prices!
Navy Inn – PenzanceA perfect night out was had by all. Amazing food, especially the puddings!! Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We will be back - would recommend to anyone.
Cornish Range – PenzanceWe love this restaurant, we tried the special regular local Food Hero night where the menu features local suppliers produce. The food both vegetarian and carnivore was as usual excellent from start to finish. I especially enjoyed a confit of rabbit, served with beautiful leaves and an amazing dressing. The staff were professional and efficient, a rarity in Cornwall. Try it!
The Garden Bar and Restaurant – PenzanceThis is our choice of restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries etc. Always really good. Nice, happy waiting staff (it makes such a difference when you go to a restaurant where the staff actually smile!!). Food was excellent, perfect portion sizes. Really delicious every time we go. Keep it up!
Cornish Range – PenzanceI love it~ its fantastic definitely recommend it to anyone!
Mackerel Sky Cafe Bar – PenzanceHad heard about the new chef owner and wanted to try this place. We went this sunday for lunch. The food was excellent. We both had the Jerusalem Artichoke soup with truffle oil and I had roast sirloin with veg my partner had a risotto. We enjoyed it very much and shall probably return.
Victoria Inn – PenzanceThe Alverne represents a very good dining experience. The food might be characterised as modern British with European influences. It was well presented in proper proportion. While not cheap, the food represented excellent value. The ambience was very pleasant; tables sufficiently far apart to allow privacy but not suggesting a hushed atmosphere. The decor and wall hangings were fresh, modern, eye-catching and pleasing. My only quibble was that the wine was opened away from the table. But the waitresses were so personable and unobtrusively keen that I did not complain, particularly as the wine was as it claimed on the bottle.
Alverne Restaurant and Lounge – Penzancerecently had lunch and then came back for evening meal, it was fabulous, they have a lovely garden at the rear. the pub itself has so much real history. the food was great, so much choice, lovely staff (very friendly)and for such a small pub the selection of real ales were great to see. I would highly recommend this lovely pub.
Turks Head Inn, The – PenzanceWe had a fantastic evening at this little restaurant. It is located to the right at the top of the main street opposite the bingo hall, look out for the red, white and blue Thai flag that flutters above the door. The set meals are fantastic value, the most expensive being just £17. Well worth a visit one evening, and Have just seen that they are now open on a lunchtime and for takeaways as well.
Sukothai Restaurant – PenzanceRelaxed and informal. Had a private feel which would be welcome come high season. Beautiful food - fresh produce from the surrounding area (both land and sea). Absolutely delicious. Good service. Well recommended! I plan on returning this year whilst holidaying down that way. After two weeks away and not eating how you'd like, Sophia's was a God send. Thank you!
Sophias – PenzanceOur New Years Eve was fantastic!! We have eaten in the restaurant many times and been delighted with both food and service but the Bay really excelled even its own very high standards for this event. In fact we all agreed that we had not eaten better quality food anywhere...and we have travelled far. The staff were superb, attentive, friendly and fun, maybe the pea shooters were a step too far but hey it was New Year, and one that we will remember.
The Garden Bar and Restaurant – PenzanceWhat a great restaurant - the food is superb with wonderful vegetarian options, delicious deserts and gorgeous bread. There is a lovely atmosphere and we'll definitely be back.
The Garden Bar and Restaurant – PenzanceGood food for vegetarians
Dynasty Chinese Restaurant – PenzanceExcellent! best food and best views, staff made us feel so welcome and great music too, will definatly be back next year.
Beach Restaurant – PenzanceWow a hidden restaurant in a residential area with superb view across Mounts Bay. We booked a table a couple of weeks ago on a busy Saturday night. The food was excellent with vibrant colours and flavours. The Knowledgeable staff recommended the perfect wine to compliment the meal. It's well worth the visit, I for one will definitely be going back.
