How amazing and fantastically orgasmic their food was!! Highly recommended!!
Koishii Japanese Restaurant – Plymouthi love this place. i have been loads of times and will never get bored of it. i have tried loads of different items from the menu and have never been disappointed, they are all as tasty as each other. i recommend it to all my mates and they all say the same. Johnny's friendly welcome and the laid back atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. i am off there this afternoon and cannot wait. my favourite restaurant in this area by miles...
The Noodle Lounge – PlymouthI don't recommend this place at all! We stopped there on our way to Cornwall on Sunday 17th July. Had a burger which was dry and the chips were soggy and greasy. My mate had chicken fajitas which made him ill for the rest of the day with stomach cramps. Horrible greasy food and slow dreadful service. AVOID!
Route 38 – PlymouthI visited the Barbican Kitchen yesterday evening and was very impressed again. The 2 courses for £10.95 deal was brilliant, the pea and mint soup was delicious, as was the Pork. This is a stylish restaurant. The service was excellent, discreet and leisurely - We would not fault anything!
Barbican Kitchen – PlymouthIf you want bad service and an expensive meal, “Route 38” is for you. My Birthday meal fiasco took place on the 22nd of June 2011. Four of us arrived at about 8:00pm and were shown to a table. We then had our order taken in good time for both drinks and meals. The drinks arrived a few minutes later as expected. Three meals arrived 15 minutes later but mine took a further 5 minutes which was bad given that I had only ordered a burger. The meals were of fair quality but expensive for what we had. We continued eating and finished our drinks but it was not possible to get the attention of any of the staff for a refill. They were more interested in turning off the Budweiser sign, adjusting a blind and most annoyingly vacuuming around the area we were seated. After being made to feel very unwelcome we left without the sweet and coffee we were looking forward to. We had to step over the abandoned vacuum cleaner which was left in the middle of the aisle. All we needed to complete the scene was Basil Fawlty. I have lived and worked in the States and the abysmal service at Route 38 is a complete insult to American restaurants and the customers of Route 38 alike.
Route 38 – Plymouthwow the food is outstanding and with service to match, the set dinner menu is great we had three courses and it was only £19.95 each, there are not may places you can eat good fresh food for this money. if you keep this up we will be back time and time again.
Quay 33 – PlymouthAmazing restaurant, good value for money, well suited for children, friendly staff who where more than helpful. A really good meal out, will definitely go there again.
Zeus – PlymouthWell, my family and i attended the above, the atmosphere was great & friendly staff, especially the young Scottish girl who looked after us. The restaurant wasn't too busy, we didn't book & only waited 20-25 for a table. However, once seated i noticed two separate tables returning food to the kitchen, i thought we were in for a rough ride here, how right was i. Firstly the Chef didn't inform the waitress of what wasn't available on the menu, this happened twice in the same order resulting the waitress returning to the kitchen twice. Finally we got the starter which was nice, then the main course, this is where the beef pie with a silly looking bird sat in the middle surrounded by the a life times supply of pastry, eventually when the stuggle of removing the exploding pastry (brittle) only to reveal 'three' pieces of meat and a suggestion of gravy, a straw would of been call of the day here. I was told the taste was good but in short supply. The lasagna had so much sauce and not enough meat, now my knowledge in the food/restaurant arena is of a 20 year period. I attended Lockyers Key in the capacity of a customer and left as a customer. Like i have said the cleanliness and staff were great, barr the chef, i suggest a training plan should be put in place and promote due diligence in the work related arena. This will lay at the door of the manager to train his/her staff to ensure legislation is maintained which is all of our goal in the catering field. To summarize, we got a free desert & that's another story, i am just glad we didn't pay for it as it was pathetic sat on a huge plate and a splash of cream in a ramakin dish. Such a shame, to end on a good note the cheese board was great. Unfortunalty i will not be returning to this restaurant, i just hope they find their way & good luck.
Lockyers Quay – PlymouthWe were visiting Plymouth and wanted Oysters and found Bistro One via Sugarvine. We were offered Oysters both Raw and Grilled and promptly devoured a dozen each. Fab! Our wine was a surprise as we were recommended to try a Sicilian Catarratto - never heard of it but what a wine it turned out to be. Lemon scented and perfect with the sea-flavoured Oysters. Couldn't have been better, very simple and very fresh. Job done, we look forward to our next visit.
Bistro One – Plymouthhighly recommended great food good prices and good atmosphere kids loved it

The Mission Cafe Bar and Bistro – PlymouthWell what can i say about this place, we have been coming here since it opened back in 2005, be it in the T4 Transporter or on the motorbikes depending on the weather its a great place to come, the staff are great the food is great to can't fault the place love it here, if you come you wont be disappointed.
Route 38 – Plymouthtwo barmaids are pretty rude to the customers but the food is great.
Plymstock Inn – PlymouthI have eaten at the Noodle Lounge so many times I cannot remember because it is the highest quality Chinese food I have ever eaten (and that includes Chinatown in New York and London!) Every single person who I suggested visit the restaurant has agreed that it is the most fantastic culinary experience they have had from a Chinese restaurant and if there is a more attentive, friendlier and welcoming host than Johnny I have yet to meet them!
The Noodle Lounge – PlymouthWe had heard that Bistro One had some Game on the menu so promptly booked. To our surprise we were offered Game Soup, Game Terrine, Paupiettes of Pheasant and Haunch of Red Deer. we sampled all of these dishes to great acclaim, wonderful natural flavours balanced with excellent garnishes and sauces. Simple House wine turned out to be an excellent Provence Rouge from Cotes de Ventoux punching well above its weight. I understand that this type of menu will be offered for another month or so so like us if Game is your dish do give Bistro One a try.
