Buffet City – PlymouthHad lunch there today, absolutely delicious. The best moussaka I've ever had . Wonderful staff. Highly recommended.
Zeus – PlymouthHave been going to this restaurant with my husband for donkey's years. Consistantly excellent food and great, friendly staff, Have just had my husband's 65th birthday party there - fab reviews from everyone. Special mention for wonderful chef Sharon - she makes it all taste fantastic! Suzy B
Barbican Pasta Bar – PlymouthCan't wait coming for first time today me my mum my brother and his partner my bro and his partner have been before they said every thing was fab. We will be having the platters will review when have been.
The Berkeley Bar & Grill – PlymouthBrilliant, lovely food and great staff!. House wine is lovely and excellent potion sizes.
Positano – PlymouthHad one of man vs food meals. All cooked perfect, friend had meatier pizza without bread all meat base what a thing, well done.
Barbican Steakhouse – PlymouthGreat value cinema deal with Reel Cinema. Had mixed nachos with beef, chicken and refried beans and glass of house red for £12.50 including the cinema. Decor is improved and slight changes to menu but other than that as good as ever.
Lorenzo – PlymouthVery disappointing experience with Wah Tin. Ordered as takeaway, took nearly 2 hours to get here, and two of the dishes weren't what we'd ordered. Rang up to enquire and the manager went on a lengthy rant about how we were in the wrong, and about how we didn't know a thing about Chinese food...Eventually got them to send the items they'd got wrong, only sent one of the two. Only saving grace was the utterly lovely and apologetic delivery driver, but definitely wouldn't consider eating from here again.
Wah Tin – PlymouthHave been twice it has a buzzing atmosphere and great deals on cocktails! I am pathetic when it comes to anything 'hot' but there was enough for me to choose from - and all 3 other people at the table said my starter was sweet not hot, so very much personal taste for wimps! But both times I went I had different choices etc looks great as well would recommend.
Las Iguanas – PlymouthLovely building and location, good consistent food, bets for a large group really as they accommodate these very well. Lots of room and no need to pay deposit or pre-order which is brilliant. Shame staff are a little more friendly - some are and some are not. Overall a good night out. Check online for offers too before you go.

Kingfisher Fish and Chips – PlymouthI went to this restaurant to take advantage of a Sugervine offer, that part didn’t work out but I will explain that later. Day of visit: Wednesday Time of visit: 6:00pm Access and Facilities In Plymouth city centre not far from a car park, it is all relatively flat so it should not be a problem for people with buggies or a wheel chair. The place itself is simple to get into but some of the seating is raised which may be an issue. I didn’t see a disabled toilet (I may simply have missed it) although the standard one would be fine if you were able to walk a little. Service It was quiet as they had just opened so cannot really comment on how service goes when things get busy but as you would expect for the time the service was very quick and efficient. The waiter was excellent and the service personable without being overzealous. Atmosphere I image this place is great once it gets really full but even quite the place has a nice atmosphere, lots of space, Italian décor and Italian muszak (live music on certain days I understand) and all the staff I saw spoke Italian (or at least were pretending to :) Drinks Across the board I thought the drinks were a little overpriced, only slightly, for an Italian restaurant. We went for the Montepulciano (second on the list) which was over £15, it was lovely, and would usually hover at the £12-£14 mark especially when you could get it from Aldi down the road for £4 a bottle and sell it by the Carafe as the house red with a respectable but fair mark-up. We didn’t have a coffee or hot drink after, it was offered, but the prices looked fairly standard. Food The bread and olive starter was complimentary which is something I really miss with the big chain restaurants where you get nothing free. There is a good selection of starters and mains, but not the usual 3 page mammoth menu you sometimes get in small places, and as you would expect for Plymouth there were more than a few seafood dishes. For the mains it is highly dependent on what you have, we both had pasta, but the food was excellent. I couldn’t say whether the pasta is made fresh on the premises but everything else was so I expect it is too. My only minor complaints would be that no bread came out with the main (not usual for chain restaurants but common in local Italian restaurant and certainly in Italy) and the portions were a little small. Portion size is not a major issue as it would depend on how much of an appetite you have but I would advise getting a couple of sides if you are really hungry. The desert menu looked great. We were told the deserts are made fresh on site and they certainly tasted as if they were. Over all and Price A great place and I can certainly say I will be going back. The price was not bad and certainly in line with any Italian chain restaurant you might visit if you aren’t using any sort of voucher code. Sugervine offer There was a ‘Happy Hour’ offer where any pizza or pasta dish was £5. I did ring during the day but no one was there (no lunch service on a Wednesday so that was understandable) and none of the waiting staff knew anything about it. Explaining it was hard and I didn’t want to not eat so I didn’t get the offer…my advice ring and book the evening before telling them you will be using the offer or print out the offer and bring it with you.
Aglio Olio – PlymouthWe did the cinema deal, a (large) tapas, drink and cinema ticket for £11.95 - brilliant dinner!!! Excellent service and cosy place.
Lorenzo – PlymouthI have been to this restaurant twice in the past month and will visit there again tomorrow night. The food was lovely and fresh , the waiting staff very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was super. Really enjoyed the entertainment
Aglio Olio – PlymouthBuffet City is very good for money, they have so much food to choose from and you can go up and help yourself. You can go up has many times as you like for starter main and pudding.
Buffet City – Plymouthjust had the most amazing meal! Halloumi for starters lemon sole for mains the best I have ever eaten...My boyfriend had crab and dover sole, equally as good. Service friendly and efficient, price reasonable. Would recommend to all
Village Restaurant The – PlymouthVisited the Barbican Kitchen on Saturday night and had a wonderful meal. As we were there before 7pm a few of our group chose from the Express Menu which has just been updated, I had chicken terrine for starter and pork collar with celeriac mash which was delicious - 2 courses for £10.95 was such a great deal. Very stylish place and staff were friendly and helpful. Love the gin distillery bar upstairs too, its lovely that you can wait there with a cocktail for your table! Excellent.
Barbican Kitchen – PlymouthExcellent meal on Friday night, service was slow but then they were very busy. Online reservation system was easy and helpful. Sat in a lovely boothe area which as we were a group of 10 worked brilliantly. Definitely going there again.
