Blues Bar and Grill – PlymouthThanks for a great meal on Thursday night, we have eaten all over the world lately and this was in the top two, if the race comes to Plymouth again we will be in. Good work chefs, amazing food.
Quay 33 – PlymouthWhat a super experience, food fantastic, service, great ambiance loved it will be back soon with friends.
Nibana Indian Restaurant – PlymouthLovely venue with good food and fab cocktails - all winning combinations except for the price of the cocktails, very expensive so a night out there is limited to just a couple of drinks. Shame because we would happily stay longer if the drinks were cheaper.
The Treasury Bar Restaurant – PlymouthWe visit the China House weekly, it is such a cosy pub where we catch up with friends or just chill out. The food has always been good, particularly the Duck Salad and are standard pub prices. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but as already said it is the wonderful building and location that are the real reason we go. You can sit out on the balcony overlooking the yachts or inside on colder evenings where you can cosy up in a corner or in a big chair by the fire. A lovely pub to go with friends when you are looking for a relaxing drink.
China House The – PlymouthWe have just come back from a fantastic dinner at Piermasters. Apparently there is a new head chef, and we can't wait to recommend the kitchen for the great menu selection and fabulous food. My partner had seafood for both courses and raved about the scallops and the sea bass. I am not a huge fish fan so I opted for the duck and was impressed by both the presentation and the lovely combination of tastes. We'll be back!
Quay 33 – PlymouthI heard that piermasters had changed there chef, my party and I haven't eaten there for about a year because the food had really started to go down hill, BUT on monday night decided to go in and try out the new chef's food, it was delightful, the scallops where fresh and the crispy vegetables set it off really well (need to learn how to do that), for mains I had the fillet steak with tiger prawns which was cooked perfectly. My friend had the duck which looked amazing. Then for dessert the vanilla creme brulee WOW the best ever. Thank you for a great night we will be back.
Quay 33 – PlymouthI have been here twice in the last year and it has been excellent. The food is certainly different to standard Indian restaurants and there is alot of choice. Pricing is very good and this is a popular restaurant. Very small point is that when very busy the service was a little slow but staff all very pleasant and polite and lovely atmosphere. We sat upstairs for a large party and it was brill
Cafe Indiya – PlymouthHave eaten here twice and it is the best Indian meal we have had in a very long while. The decor is fabulous, the service excellent and the food is extremely tasty and good portions. I can totally recommended this dining experience.
Nibana Indian Restaurant – PlymouthHi to all , dined at Fat Mama's on my U.K TRIP in 2007 , the best Burgers in England , i put on 5KG's in 3 days !! , Neil Baker , Victoria , Australia .
Hang Ten – PlymouthHas to be the worst ever eating out experience. 90 minutes for the food to arrive and then burnt and inedible!! A further 30 mins. to replace it and still not good enough. A complaint to the manager/proprietor resulted in a full blown row where he sought to tell me, a customer, about the etiquette of complaining. Apart from the sea view there is NOTHING to commend this place whatsoever!!
Waterfront – PlymouthHas to be the worst ever eating out experience. 90 minutes for the food to arrive and then bunt and inedible!! A further 30 mins. to replace it and still not good enough. A complaint to the manager/proprietor resulted in a full blown row where he sought to tell me, a customer, about the etiquette of complaining. Apart from the sea view there is NOTHING to commend this place whatsoever!!
Waterfront – Plymouthhad heard various things about the food and rooms. Room was fantastic with very comfy bed and very clean. Wish the food was as good! Very disappointing restaurant, and prices on alcohol a bit much. Would advise staying but not eating.
Fishbone Restaurant and Bar – PlymouthProbably the worst meze it has ever been my misfortune to have served up to me. The main course dishes comprised one chicken wing, one chicken leg, two small kebabs and some Greek salad. When the waiter was asked where the rest was he replied that's it, what more do you expect.
Village Restaurant The – PlymouthQuite frankly the best curry i've had EVER! Went there for my Dad's birthday and was blown away. Thinking about it makes me want to move back to Plymouth!
Nibana Indian Restaurant – PlymouthI am a vegetarian which is a bit of a problem when eating out. However, although the vegetarian choices for "mains" was limited the mezze's menu is practically all vegetarian. The sizes are generous and after eating two I was about full and had a job getting through my main course. My choice of mezze were absolutely delicious and I can't wait to try some of the others next time we go. My dining partner is not a vegetarian so she went for the meat choices and was equally pleased. The house wine was good value and altogether the whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable and the Spanish waitress was charming and attentive. We highly recommend the Souk.
Very rude
Flames Restaurant – PlymouthI have eaten at this Restaurant twice in 6 weeks and cannot fault it. The decor, food and staff is excellent. They do the usual dishes but also some unusual regional dishes and Chef's specialities. The staff are smartly dressed and polite. Its has been busy both times I have been there which I am so pleased in seeing them doing well considering it is out of the City Centre.
