Hang Ten – PlymouthHas to be the worst ever eating out experience. 90 minutes for the food to arrive and then burnt and inedible!! A further 30 mins. to replace it and still not good enough. A complaint to the manager/proprietor resulted in a full blown row where he sought to tell me, a customer, about the etiquette of complaining. Apart from the sea view there is NOTHING to commend this place whatsoever!!

Waterfront – Plymouthhad heard various things about the food and rooms. Room was fantastic with very comfy bed and very clean. Wish the food was as good! Very disappointing restaurant, and prices on alcohol a bit much. Would advise staying but not eating.
Fishbone Restaurant and Bar – PlymouthProbably the worst meze it has ever been my misfortune to have served up to me. The main course dishes comprised one chicken wing, one chicken leg, two small kebabs and some Greek salad. When the waiter was asked where the rest was he replied that's it, what more do you expect.
Village Restaurant The – PlymouthQuite frankly the best curry i've had EVER! Went there for my Dad's birthday and was blown away. Thinking about it makes me want to move back to Plymouth!
Nibana Indian Restaurant – PlymouthI am a vegetarian which is a bit of a problem when eating out. However, although the vegetarian choices for "mains" was limited the mezze's menu is practically all vegetarian. The sizes are generous and after eating two I was about full and had a job getting through my main course. My choice of mezze were absolutely delicious and I can't wait to try some of the others next time we go. My dining partner is not a vegetarian so she went for the meat choices and was equally pleased. The house wine was good value and altogether the whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable and the Spanish waitress was charming and attentive. We highly recommend the Souk.
Very rude
Flames Restaurant – PlymouthI have eaten at this Restaurant twice in 6 weeks and cannot fault it. The decor, food and staff is excellent. They do the usual dishes but also some unusual regional dishes and Chef's specialities. The staff are smartly dressed and polite. Its has been busy both times I have been there which I am so pleased in seeing them doing well considering it is out of the City Centre.
Nibana Indian Restaurant – Plymouthlove da food its so mouth watering and its a good price luv da staff as well
Mutley Spice – PlymouthI was in Nibana Indian Restaurant over this Easter weekend. I was been told by my hotel that it’s nice restaurant. But I wouldn’t suggest any one to go there. As being an Indian I knew from my first bite that food is with too much of colouring and not right taste. On complain to Manager I wasn’t treated very nicely and been told that we made food here only for WHITE PEOPLE. That shock me a lot because I believe that we all should have right to have know the originality of what we eat. -Tzar
Nibana Indian Restaurant – Plymouthwent to Fishbones Monday 6th April. server was very helpful, funny went out of er way to give a good customer service. The food was delicious, but plates so full we couldn't manage a dessert. we both had soup starters, served in a bread roll! i had lamb shank, meat fell off the bone, served with sweet potato mash, bit too rich so i left some. partner had mixed grill, was huge! they do a mixed grill for 2 people but quite frankly this was big enough for 2! and we are not small eaters. drinks bit dear, but overall great experience, would recommend
Fishbone Restaurant and Bar – PlymouthThere are lots of indifferent and often pricey restaurants in Plymouth but the general standard and feel is so disappointing that it is often very difficult to work up the enthusiasm to eat out at all. platters is the exception that proves the rule. perfect and fresh fish virtually straight off the quay, simple excellent cooking, good value consistency and perhaps , just, most important at all a wonderful bustling friendly unpretentious environment where you cannot but feel instantly at home. No need for a tie (or collar) and nothing precious or grand. This is the perfect local good food cafe/bistro you could dream of.
Platters – PlymouthI would agree with the previous recommendations, offering good value pub food, a lovely cosy pub though by the waters edge. Love the new theme they have, each corner is a different type of seating, either cosy or more formal, or good for a large group. Thought it was very well decorated. Nice pub too for an afternoon drink with light bites.
Lockyers Quay – PlymouthI have just got back from the worst sit down curry i have ever experienced in my life! It was in the Mutley Spice. The coke i received tasted cheap , nasty and flat, the replacement they gave us was slightly more fizzy but this was due to them adding lemonade to it that wasn't flat! UNBELIEVABLE! The mango chutney was very watered down (no doubt to cut costs), the garlic chicken massala sauce was very watery and tasted flavourless and cheap and there was only one bit of fresh garlic in the whole sauce and that was practically raw when i bit into it! Tesco value massala sauce is more flavoursome than what they dished up! and the chicken tasted stodgy and needed a chainsaw to cut through it! All in all a thoroughly disappointing curry that shows all the signs of cost cutting and disregard of fresh ingredients and to top it off the waiter service was very poor showing a complete lack of people skills with her bad attitude and poor attention to detail. I will definitely be warning all my friends not to eat in this curry house!
Mutley Spice – PlymouthSimply fantastic value and fantastic food. I love the fish finger sandwiches, which are divine. Everything I have ever eaten there has been great tasting fresh food. The best place to eat lunch in Plymouth.
