I recently attended a wedding at the duke of Cornwall hotel and could not fault it at all. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody looking for quality.

Duke of Cornwall Hotel, The – Plymouthjust had a very good carvery at the lyneham inn the new management were very nice and the food was great. i hope they stay for a long time.
Lyneham Inn – PlymouthFrom the moment we walked in we were treated as somewhat second class citizens. The first waitress dumped us at our table and we discovered we were the only customers not to have been offered any bread and olives, the service continued to be fairly haphazard throughout the night. The food however was very good, just right. Just enough on the plate and extremely tasty. The food was therefore worth returning for, but the service could certainly bear some improvement.
Barbican Kitchen – PlymouthIve visited this restaurant many times. It is always a pleasure, whatever the choice from the menu. On the most recent visit with a group we were welcomed by a very cheerful, friendly and welcoming gent at the door, served great food at a good table and all left very happy. I couldnt recommend any Thai restaurant as highly.
Thai House The – PlymouthI have just returned from the Middle East and was interested to taste the food here. Overall, the food was good but not outstanding in any way. The feel of the place and the decor really makes this restaurant (although the low tables are a pain) and there are very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had some of the orange cake after the recommendations on this site - it was very heavy and sickly, not my thing! I would recommend this restaurant for a large group or first date.
My friend and I ate here on a Friday evening - the food was exquisite and very reasonably priced. The pianist added to the ambiance without being intrusive. I would recommend this for an intimate dinner or just for a fantastic meal that won't break the bank.
Chloe’s Restaurant – PlymouthThis restaurant is a legend. The food is utterly authentic and unlike anything that you'll find in 'normal' indian restaurants. Every time we've been in here, we've utterly enjoyed it. The restaurant decor is basic compared to other restaurants, but the food makes up for it. The extras you get it this place really make the difference, like mango lassi (delicious!). The indian desserts are amazing too - especially the coconut ice cream, which is to die for! And it's all amazingly cheap!
Veggie Perrins – PlymouthAfter a great night at the barbican kitchen we felt we had to try the Flagship site! really glad we did we heard it was expensive we felt it was excellent value for sublime food and the pleasure of eating in such an historic building these boys know how to run restaurants ! you have to go you will not be disappointed
Tanners Restaurant – PlymouthThe best value food on recent holiday using the daily specials
Montys – Plymouthwe went here for a birthday treat and were treated to a great night! nothing was too much trouble for the staff or management and they played a fanfare, happy birthday song and cliff richards "congratulations" while they brought the cake out. we will be back.
Frankie and Bennys – PlymouthMe and my boyfriend came here after reading good reviews on this website, we had homemade burgers which were quite nice but should be for £23 for 2 burgers 1 pint and a soft drink!
Blues Bar and Grill – PlymouthI am not sure that I can add to what has already been said below but I think the combination of food, wine, presentation, ambiance and most of all staff were outstanding. I have eaten all over the world in many top restaurants and this is right up there with the best of them.
Chloe’s Restaurant – PlymouthThis is the second time we have been to Chloe's and the experience has got even better. The quality of food, service, ambience and presentation that they offer for £30 (3 courses) is quite outstanding. The food is exquisite, the taste amazing and the presentation of each course is exceptional. Most highly recommended.
Chloe’s Restaurant – Plymouthstaff here are extremely friendly and helpful. Clean, fantastic decor and generous servings of meals at a average, reasonable cost. would definitely go again
Frankie and Bennys – PlymouthExcellent all round and we were even allowed time to use the a la carte although we had to leave for the threatre. top marks all round
Chloe’s Restaurant – Plymouthnice friendly pub grub. outside area is a lovely suntrap in the summer and good range of beers
Morley Arms – PlymouthIn a nice location with a nice outside area, this is a lovely place to go with friends and family. Straightforward English pubgrub of a generous size and a nice friendly atmosphere
Lockyers Quay – PlymouthMy husband and I popped in on the off chance and really wanted to try the 'fish side', however they were fully booked for a birthday lunch. We therefore went to the 'pub side' and had the special lunch menu. Whilst the portions were 'small' they were adequate although I too found some of the dishes a little on the salty side, hence 'very good' rather than 'outstanding'. The home made bread was a definite plus and I would certainly return, just hold the salt a little!
