Himalayan Spice – PlymouthThis restaurant is always busy, occasionally you are lucky to get a table - that in itself says something. We discovered Lanterns thanks to Plymouthian friends, and am delighted to say we've returned many times since. Good food at a good price, with friendly staff serving as fast as chefs can cook - can't ask for more.
Lanterns Kebab and Steak House – PlymouthBest restaurant in Plymouth!
Village Restaurant The – PlymouthWe go to the Wah Tin several times a month and the food is superb every time. The service is prompt and the food hot. I can recommend the BBQ spare ribs and Chicken satay on skewer! Book on a Friday and Saturday, but just walk in other days
Wah Tin – PlymouthI had an amazing time at this restaurant, I am a vegan so called before hand to check what I could eat, instead of the usual huff I am greeted with the person who answered the phone got the chef who patiently went through the menu with me. The remembered on the night as well and made sure that not even any dips that usually came with dishes had dairy in them. I was so impressed!!!!
Yukisan – PlymouthExcellent restaurant. Good atmosphere, attentive service and excellent food. Preferred it to Rick Stein's place in Padstow! Best sweet I have eaten in a long time and the 5 course £32 deal is a good one. Took a client who regularly eats in the best restaurants nationwide and it impressed him!
Quay 33 – PlymouthAs a local who has frequented this pub several times over the years, I'm now glad to say that it consistently serves up very good pub food, including the largest fish and chips ever! No pretences, no fancy ambience, just a friendly local that does good pub food.
Eddystone Inn – Plymouththis the best meal i have ever had it is an amazing restaurant and the service great i am age 13 and found it so nice food
Yukisan – PlymouthThe Souk had a fantastic atmosphere, for a minute I thought i was really in Marakesh! I tried loads of different vegetarian mezze which all tasted equally fabulous. I followed them with some orange cake and a mint tea and I certainly left completely satiated - with the food and the atmosphere, and a little heady from the good wine and the apple sheesha that i followed my meal with . Cant wait to go back -
Souk – PlymouthI have eaten at Yukisan several times and unlike other restaurants the food was sublime on each occasion, we have introduced our 5 year old son to the restaurant and he now asks for sushi for dinner all the time!!! The lunchtime menu is very good too and the bento boxes delicious.
Yukisan – PlymouthAfter hearing great things about this place we had to visit. We were told it was expensive, well if a three course lunch for £16 for great food, service and place to dine is expensive what? cheap? Great local produce cooked to perfection! Served in a relaxed but professional manner. All in all a great venue, Can't wait to visit again or try their new venture the 'barbican kitchen'
Tanners Restaurant – PlymouthLunch is superb there - when its open! Successfully got to try the much acclaimed vegetarian food on the 3rd visit 2 weeks back. Delicious mango lassi too. Have since tried to go back for more (twice)- to no avail. Must ring to make sure the place is open.
Veggie Perrins – PlymouthFantastic food & atmosphere. The Tanners have got it right again with the style of service & food, knowledgeable staff who were very friendly & only to happy to help. Would recommend it to any one but would advise you to book in advance as it gets very busy, cant wait till my next visit.
Barbican Kitchen – PlymouthLunched there today. My generous portion of lime and chilli quid served with a salad and fantastic salsa - simply delicious!! It wasn? busy and the smiling waitress was attentive but not overly so (which was great!). My partner had warm duck salad as starters, minute steak with béarnaise sauce and the fussy eater enjoyed it all! We were so full but were tempted with the vanilla creme brulle which we shared. It wasn? too sweet and the texture was just right. Will definitely be back.
Quay 33 – PlymouthVisited this on a Friday night (be sure to book ahead). The souk tries to evoke the atmosphere of the Moroccan souks. Dimmed light, tables and chairs close together, baskets with fruit and veg, waiter wearing a fez. The food was astonishingly good: do try the mezze. The service was friendly and warm. As a desert you can have a sheesha, which alone is reason enough to pay a visit to this restaurant. Only one minor issue: its in a new bland building, which does not look very inviting.
Souk – PlymouthWe had 8 mezes between 4 of us plus the 'local' beer. The food was very tasty, fresh and varied. It is wonderful to have something like this in Plymouth. Our only criticism is that the portions were a little small. 8 dishes between four with pitta bread should have been enough but we were still hungry. Some of the dishes, e.g. Felafel or baby spinach have three pieces on them when four would have been better (and easier to share). The orange cake dessert is a must; this was a very generous portion and so filled the gap. The cost of £7 per head for 2 mezes and a drink is good but upping the portions (even at a slight increase in cost) would be better.
Souk – PlymouthA table in this little bistro is often hard to get but our luck was in when we dined in May. We decided to have the Bistro Meze between us (with a lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc) then we followed with Red Mullet and Gurnard respectively. We shared a gluten-free Polenta cake to finish and some excellently sourced coffee. Our evening just flew by as we enjoyed every morsel. Bravo for simplicity and cool jazz to boot. Do what we did and book for a lovely supper.
Bistro One – Plymouthwe have never has a bad meal here, it's ideal for pre theatre meals, and ideally situated
Leandra The – PlymouthLunch Menu: 2 courses, £17.95; 3 courses, £19.95. Available Wed-Sun, 12pm-1.45pm.
