Experience was let down by crazy price of a glass of soda water! Cheaper to have a beer. Food good and most staff good but female waitress didn't seem to get customer service.

Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeAnother kindergarten. Caters for kids whos parents do not care how much noise or annoyance it causes to the rest of the public . But its a public house ? so grown ups do not matter. Will not go again . Is there a public house where grown ups can go and have a quiet drink without children been in the near vicinity?
High Cross – Poulton-Le-FyldeWhat a fantastic night. Everything perfect -- the food, service, atmosphere, the music and the wine . I can't wait to take my family again. I call a perfect restaurant !!!!!!!
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe went for my mums birthday. we were a little disappointed with the lack of flavours in the food. I wouldn't rush back.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-Fyldewent for a birthday celebration as my favourite Indian has closed down, a mutual friend recommended Maya to us, I was before arriving deciding that it would not be as good as the Indian which i had regularly visited for over 23 years, however WOW i was blown away the food was delicious and equally as good as my favourite Indian, service was fantastic, lovely clean linen on the tables, the staff looked like they could do with cheering up a bit, but on the whole the evening was fantastic, i would recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes a good Indian - FANTASTIC !
Maya – Poulton-Le-FyldeJust had my first meal at Pulci Pizza on the recommendation of my friend...what a lovely place, fantastic atmosphere, amazing food, wonderful friendly, welcoming staff - an excellent owner who showed time and commitment to his guests and certainly knew his dishes well...a pearl of a place to eat - can't wait to go back...thank you PP!!!!! x
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeVery friendly and attentive service pizza
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeMy mother asked if we could all go as a family for a Thai meal for her 60th and Mews came highly recommended by friends and work colleagues... I can only urge you to try this quaint little restaurant in it's hidey-hole location for yourselves. An extensive menu catering to all tastes and a welcoming, friendly ambience made for a lovely evening with the excellent food being the focal point. Dishes were sampled by all and my Ahan talai nam makhram (Crab claws with crunchy vegetables in a tamarind based sauce) was divine. The staff appeared to be genuinely happy to help and advise the less seasoned diners amongst our party and even allowed us access through the kitchens tro avoid my mother spying her beautiful birthday cake to early on in the evening. Great food, great staff, great location... give it a try asap.
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeAn all round great venue, whether for an intimate dinner with a loved one or close friends to a big knees up post wedding, christening etc etc... beautifully set in luxurious grounds with friendly and well trained staff, great food quality and reasonable pricing across the menu... a definite 'must try' kinda place... I will be back soon...
Singleton Lodge Country House Hotel – Poulton-Le-FyldeThe food is normally very nice in The Highcross but I was disappointed with the service there last night (Oct 19 2011). I visited with my family and arrived at 8.30pm, we ordered two of the Plantation Platters and a Triple Chicken and then went to the salad bar. About ten minutes later, the waitress came over and told us there was no spit roast chicken left. This was disappointing enough as this is the main draw of the restaurant. To make matters worse she told us they could not replace the chicken with anything else as stocks were low. I asked if she was seriously telling us that we could have the meal, but with a key ingredient missing, for exactly the same price and was told yes! The waitress was apologetic enough but I can't believe the kitchen seem to keep no idea of their stock. We were offered no extra drinks of desserts and so we just left. I won't be returning in a hurry.
High Cross – Poulton-Le-FyldeVisited on Saturday 15th October 2011. Our table was booked for 9pm & we arrived 5 mins early - we were still sat in reception area at 9.30! They came & took our order & finally showed us to our table at 9.45. We thought as we had ordered already the waiting would be over. We got our starters at just after 10pm! We then waited again for the main courses & kept being told they were on the way. By 10.35 pm we were still waiting. The food finally arrived & there was a dish missing! The waitress hadn't written it down!! The food was lovely, but the waiting ruined the evening. We will definitely not be going again & will not recommend to others! Other people have now told me of similar experiences. Such a shame as the food is really good!
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeAfter booking weeks for 16 people for a Saturday night, we arrived at the restaurant to find it full and that our party could not be accommodated. No reasonable explanation given from the staff, however it would seem they'd been greedy and given our table to people that had come in off the street. Very poor management, we will not be recommending this restaurant to others. Luckily we were able to get into another restaurant in Poulton to celebrate our friends birthday.
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeI took my wife into the Mews for a nice romantic meal and we were very disappointed , the service we received was in no other word but ignorant, and obnoxious. The food was JUST about average, the only smile we received during the whole night was when we paid, we will never be setting foot inside this back street restaurant again !!!
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeBeen twice now, couldn't believe the standard , taste and value of this bistro. service is by far second to none. peroni beers the best. can't wait for next meal out there.
Bistro Italia – Poulton-Le-FyldeI agree with the comments. It's a great place - food and service is excellent and price compared to other Italians restaurants in Poulton is very reasonable. I've been several times and also ordered take away. I love the buzz and the atmosphere and would definitely recommend to friends.
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-FyldeWent for a birthday meal here recently, not been for ages. There was good choice on the menu, I went for the Gammon which was fine, and the pineapple was nicely charred. The steaks looked nice, as did the mixed grill. My niece had a burger which looked good, and they served the big chips in some kind of loaf tin. The pudding was a little disappointing, raspberry cheesecake, as it was a little over fruity for me, but the others looked good. I'd say Castle Gardens is good for a lazy lunch, but not one to recommend for a special occasion.
