Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.
Excellent variety & quality of food for veggies & carnivores alike, and the service was fantastic - didn't want to rush you like some restaurants, but equally didn't make you wait to be served either. There is a take away service as well and the standard is just as good! Would definitely recommend eating here.

Hospital Inn – PrestonWe visit Bangla Fusion regularly and are never disappointed. The service is quick, the staff very helpful and the food leaves you stuffed(in a good way). The prices, although quite expensive, are what we would expect from any restaurant of this quality. This place is a must and we look forward to going back again.

I use to dine at Campions (must be 8 years ago) were Rob Povall was the chef, so on hearing his name again I had to visit. I was not disappointed the food was fantastic I'll certainly be dining at Haighton manor in the near future.
Haighton Manor Country House Hotel – Prestoni thought the cafe bar was extremely wonderful. i think its one of the best restaurants i know. im going there for my 13th birthday because i love it so much!!
The Cafe Bar – PrestonExcellent again! Now had multiple trips to this Pub where you find a convivial atmosphere albeit with a fairly rural/local feel. Recommend it for quality (and quantity) of good hearty traditional food. Not too many frills and frippery here - just good beer and good food.
Green Man – PrestonSurprised to find a modern Indian restaurant like this near Garstang. Interesting menu with unique dishes of the house. Modern surroundings with a young enthusiastic front of house team. well worth a visit!
Barton Bangla Brasserie – PrestonLike a previous reader, we too had the leg of lamb. Although this isn't the best cut of meat it was tender. We sampled many of the dishes, my favourite however was the Bukhara chicken and the byriarni. In fact none of us could fault any of the dishes. The service was top class.... Try it you will not be disappointed.

Tinos – PrestonWe stopped by on passing as we fancied an Indian, and this place really took us by surprise. It's not much to look at from the outside but they've really gone to town on the decor inside, it's really special. Very contemporary and smart, and the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was without doubt the best Indian I have ever had, really really fresh food with excellent presentation. The wines pretty good too. We're going to make this a regular dining out event even though it's not that local to us. Look out for the Malaysian chandelier in the larger part of the restaurant, it's pretty impressive.

Italian Orchard – PrestonWe have been twice now - once with the Children on a Sunday afternoon and as a couple on a Saturday evening. The food and wine are a little expensive compared to the "faster" type outlets but it is well worth the extra. The whole presentation of the place is refreshing and attractive. The service is exceptional and the food delicious and presented in a fine way. My only gripe is that there is no waiting space or reception area at the front and it is awkward if there are a few of you waiting for tablesŠIf this was sorted then the whole experience would be exceptional.
