We went on a weekday before 7.30 so chose off the 'Early Bird' menu - £11.95 for two courses or £13.95 for three. The food was lovingly presented and tasted great! The quantities were just right too. Recommended!
The Sirloin Inn – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

The Sirloin Inn – PrestonVisited on a Friday lunch time and we plumped for the special of a 2 course lunch for £11.95, which was fairly good value, but had to pay extra for the hubby's steak main course (£3.95). Food was excellent, well presented and very tasty, however the restaurant lacked any atmosphere, even though there were about 6 other couples dining. Two other things put me off slightly, I hate carpets in restaurants, eugh! and also the menu I was given was grubby, finger marks and the like. Overall would visit again for the food, but make sure I took good company with me. Restaurant could be totally different in the evening.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonWe hired the entire venue for My wife's 40th birthday celebrations on a Saturday evening. There were a total of 55 guests and I'd say that is about comfortable (on the downstairs floor anyway). We took our own choice of music, though they would need to invest in a few extra speakers in the main dining area should anyone want a real 'dance' party. Fabulous food, good service and ambience. We'll certainly go again and recommend Huntley's in the future.
Huntleys – PrestonQuite simply the best meal we have ever had,all cooked and presented superbly! get some new chairs that would make it perfect.
Huntleys – PrestonAfter hearing numerous ravings about this place i decided to try it out. Lunchtime menu provided a very intriguing choice, finally i settled on the Caribbean chicken salad perfect for a hot day-complimented by a free glass of wine -and a huge portion. Very contemporary setting and great staff.the desserts looked tempting but i was too full, so will return to remedy missing out. Wonderful
Moka – PrestonMy wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Huntleys for Sunday lunch. We were both very pleased with the excellent choice of dishes available and found it quite difficult to decide what to have. Once we had decided what to have, the speed of service was outstanding. We will certainly be calling again. Highly recommended.
Huntleys – PrestonVery friendly staff who are ready to have a laugh with the customers, and equally wonderful food. The portions are huge too! A great variety & a free bottle of wine for every two people! Not rubbish stuff either! Offers pizza & pasta dishes for £5 on Sunday - Tuesday also. Haven't tried that yet but will definitely go back soon!
Moka – PrestonI visited the manor recently, the food was very good and a wide choice on food, I found one of the young waiters very friendly and helpful he was always smiling and looked very smart, he made our night run smoothly, will be going again, especially after hearing its good reputation.
Haighton Manor Country House Hotel – PrestonExcellent food in the evening - special deal early in the week on pizza and pasta. Later in the week two main courses and a bottle of complimentary wine, you can also take your own wine. Food delicious, ambience outstanding, wine excellent what m ore can you say???
Moka – PrestonBrowns is a great place to go if you want to relax and enjoy a meal during the day, but in the evening it is simply the only place to go to enjoy great music in a trouble free environment, I highly recommend a visit.
Browns – PrestonSuperbly prepared and presented, tender fresh meat and no-frills side dishes, everything a good English restaurant should be. Interesting environment, slap bang in the middle of a working farm, everything about Hunters, from place settings to menu, reflects the very obvious love and devotion to good food of it's personable chef Mark Pennington. A relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable evening in an unpretentious and down to earth atmosphere.
Huntleys – PrestonI was invited to the launch of Huntleys At Night and travelled from Yorkshire to attend. The menu made it difficult for me to choose--the 5 people in our party all had something different--every meal was at the standard I have come to expect from Mark Pennington. I am returning soon with friends to sample the new menu--spoilt for choice!
Huntleys – PrestonFantastic and exotic flavours - best naan bread we've ever tasted! Always a warm welcome and friendly service - great choice of dishes and every one we've had has been exceptional!! Highly recommended
Sangam Balti House – PrestonBrilliant!!!! It is the best Chinese food I have ever tasted
Buffet@Preston – PrestonThe food is Ok, but I prefer the Italian drinks, Vedezuno involves honey and peach which is really good.
Angelos – PrestonThe food and service here is excellent. The staff are very on the ball whilst being down to earth and friendly. They have a good menu and the steaks are cooked to perfection. I took my Dad here for his 50th Birthday and he declared it was the best steak he'd ever had. I would definitely recommend eating here! They take the Hi Life card too which makes it very affordable for a meal of this standard.
The Sirloin Inn – PrestonThis place is a little gem. Very quaint building over two floors, can be quite intimate on a Fri/Sat night, or can cater for larger parties. The owner/waiter is Turkish with a great sense of humour and service is good. On to the food.... it is Turkish/Mediterranean, which is quite uncommon. The special Meze menu is fab- approx £15 per person but this includes many different hot/ cold starters and then ends with a selection of grilled meats. There are many Turkish specialities (the cuisine is very similar to Greek, so imagine your Greek holidays and the food will be like that), also are the more common pasta and pizza options (currently £3.95 on the early bird menu) Just Go and try this Turkish food for yourselves.
Tottos – PrestonWow what a brilliant food. It? the best takeaway in Lancashire I think and service very posh.
