Smokin Vs Real Barbecue – PrestonWent to Saturday night tapas night .Lovely food , friendly staff , nice wine , good atmosphere. Will be back and will recommend to my friends .
Bread and Butter – PrestonWhat an absolutely fantastic evening! The tapas was utterly delicious. The service wonderful and the cocktails were tasty! Another fantastic time at The Pantry! Looking forward to booking again. Shame it’s only a Friday night!
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonSuper Friday Tapas night. Maybe small plates a better name, but lots of little dishes of deliciousness!! Sharing Camembert to start, then we shared fall off the bone ribs, prawns with chorizo, hallumi fries and duck rolls all superb. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back
Bread and Butter – PrestonThe food was lovely; my son loved the Vanilla and Toffee milkshake and I thoroughly enjoyed my Chai Latte, however… the portion size for the Afternoon tea was pretty dire. For two people, normally costing £40 (we secured the Afternoon tea deal of £15pp) you’re provided with; - 4 finger sandwiches (so a single full sandwich); - 4 slim mozzarella sticks; - 2 chicken goujons; - Small portion of chips; - 2 small scones; - 2 slim slices of flapjack; - 2 slim slices of marzipan; - 2 small cups of soup; - 2 hot beverages. One small tower of food was provided and we thought it was for one person, but alas, it was for two. Being from Lancaster, I regularly frequent the Kings Arms which charges £14.95 pp, and you get more per person than what you get for the two at Bread and Butter. I’ll reiterate, the food was lovely, the portion size/charge for the amount of food is shocking.
Bread and Butter – PrestonExcellent food, presentation good had lunchtime menu, very good choices Pleasant surroundings and good atmosphere Very attentive staff Excellent value for the money
The Ginger Bistro – PrestonNot bad - good table, good view of tv, food was okay (probably not worth the £14 for a burger and chips), no finesse, drinks were decent. What wasn't so good - seemed to be plenty of staff on duty but we couldn't get table service for drinks. The waitress who served our food was pretty blunt and rude - in response to a question from my friend who had ordered the food on the app, that there was a portion of chicken wings short, her reply was "you've got all you're getting mate" - honestly, he was too shocked to even respond and we decided to just leave it. As it turned out, one other person in our group had gone to the bar and ordered another portion of chicken wings - he got ours and sure enough, five minutes later out she came with the missing wings - no apology Oh, and it did take over an hour for the food to come which she did come and inform us of after we'd placed our order but, once again, how she spoke to us was poor and certainly lacking in any customer service etiquette; What was also strange was that there were about 4 tables around us and I commented to one of my mates that nobody else was eating so why was our food taking over an hour - then, all tables got served their food within 5 minutes - makes you wonder what was going on in the kitchen To be honest, we would go back because it was okay but it's definitely not on the "must visit" list
