Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.
Excellent meal, good service, pleasant ambience. Will visit again and can recommend.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonEnjoyed a good meal here. Fish and chips and 'posh chilli'. Both were tasty and service was friendly. Great open fires, even one outside for the smokers!
Smiths Arms – PrestonWent on Saturday 10th Nov to celebrate my daughter's birthday. What a shambles, when we arrived we were told to go to a table look at the menu and then place our order at the bar, no one showed us to the table. Going back to the bar to order I was told they didn't take credit cards and the nearest cash point was across the square - it was but it was also out of order so I had to find another one - by the way it was pouring down so got well and truly soaked! The food arrived and my wife's fish was hardly cooked and my daughters liver was overcooked. When we complained we were told that they had asked us if everythnig was alright - they did but that was as they were serving the food and we hadn't even tasted it then. The new management don't seem to have got it right here and we are certainly not going back there.
The Village Inn – PrestonWhat a load of rubbish - pls post me as a bad review.
Sensible Sandwiches – PrestonFriendly, efficient service. Good quality food and always fresh .... Generous portions too... Sometimes there is a bit of queue but it's worth the wait
Andreas Fish and Chip Shop – PrestonBest bar in preston, great for private paries!
FORUM – Prestonwe came with high expectations as we went to quattro's who mezzos used own quite alot, to our dismay it felt too posh and overrated for what it was. For starters i had the scallops on the special menu which really nice, But then i had suckling pig at £18.95 when it came all i got was bits of belly pork in a rosemary gravy, my partner and her friend had risotto my partner had seafood and wasn't even served a hot water bowl to clean her hands from shelling the prawns. I noticed some chefs from Quattro's which was a nice surprise. The host stefano was quite rude and full of himself to say the least. I will return but only to see if any improvement has been made.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonVery impressed with this hotel. Popped in today for a meeting and the place has undergone a great refurb since my last visit. A touch of international class to grim Preston!
Cast Iron Grill At Preston Marriott Hotel – PrestonI have just been to the double tree with my husband and two friends. The service was excellent as was the meal We will definitely be recommending it to friends. An excellent experience for us all. Well done to all the staff from four visitors from Scotland.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonYou cant beat it , the best in the area by far, very freindly and helpful staff and very clean.
Il Gusto D’ Italia – PrestonModern and stylish decor - an impressive refurbishment. The food is good and there was a lovely atmosphere - even on a Sunday evening. If the service was up to scratch (had to wait to be seated, had to wait for menus, had to wait to order drinks, had to wait to receive drinks, had to ask for the bill and gave up waiting for the credit card machine to be brought to the table) it would be a TOP dining establishment!
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonSuper service by friendly efficient staff. A great ambience with a tremendous choice of drinks. The place to take that 'special someone' if you want to impress. I will be back.
Baluga Bar and Club – PrestonNice place nice food but definitely not a place to take kids! We went yesterday and were told to keep the kids quiet before we were even shown to our table! When I booked I did tell them we had kids with us and asked for a quiet corner and they assured us this wouldn't be a problem! I felt that they were looking at us disapprovingly all evening! Don't think I'd go again and definitely not with kids!!
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonGreat contempary interior, delicious food and speciality tribute nights. Well worth a visit.
Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – PrestonBeen twice recently can't praise enough the friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. Fillet steak was cooked perfectly and good price too. Sunday lunches are great and portion size huge, have recommended to all and sundry, well done.
The Village Inn – PrestonVery disappointing on last visit – found a black hair in my korma, informed the waiter who just denied any responsibility and even suggested it could be one of mine – very poor customer service and hygiene
Spice Of Bengal – PrestonWe have just been for a wonderful meal at the Hospital Inn. I chose gammon and my husband had rib-eye steak. I can honestly say that both meals were of an exceptionally high quality, piping hot and delicious. Even the garden peas were hot-something I have never ever encountered before whilst dining out over many years! It might sound silly but I expect my food to be hot-all of it (including the peas!) The service was excellent and I would highly recommend dining here as it does not disappoint. Thank you we really enjoyed our meals xx
