Every credit to this place that despite practically no passing traffic – as someone says in another review, it’s a bugger to find – it’s still going strong. We walked up the Lancaster Canal from Catforth on Sunday and dropped in for a late lunch. It’s got the feel of a country pub you would expect to find in a remote part of the Lakes and for me the Plough at Eaves really comes into its own in high summer or deepest, darkest winter. The landlord has been there for a while now, I think, so every credit for keeping things ticking over in such tough times. You have to make an effort to come here and people do. Also noticed a farm shop has opened nearby so you can now combine a visit to the Plough with buying some decent meat and fresh produce.
