Duk-Pond – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.
My overall rating is poor. poor service, weird food etc etc
Duk-Pond – PrestonHas a take away from here last week, very very, nice. Looking forward to visiting the restaurant this week.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonThe service at Double Two was exemplary. The staff were attentive without being obvious. We ordered one main meal off the menu and asked for one that was not on the menu, which was produced and delivered to a very high standard. The food was specific and not generic and exceptionally tasty. The staff also offered an complimentary drink after the meal. I would highly recommend anyone to eat at Double Tree.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonCannot recommend this highly enough! Went for Sunday lunch and the food and service were excellent, 3 courses £13.95, will definitely go again!!
Walled Garden Bistro – PrestonTook mother for her birthday to the Horns Inn. I love the fact it's like stepping back in time. The food is absolutely fantastic and unpretentious to suit the many local farmers who have dined here for years. It's famous for its Goosnargh duck which I had., followed by a beautiful bread and butter pudding. Please don't change this place!
Ye Horns Inn – PrestonBrilliant visit on the 5th May 2011. Party of four and we all enjoyed the food. The vegetarian Lasagne and pizza were simply delightful, tasty and well made. Service was prompt and friendly, and the place had a nice atmosphere. Possible one of the nicest Italian restaurants in Preston.
Tinos – PrestonWe have dined at Checco's on many occasions midweek and weekends and no matter how busy they are they are always very attentive and we cannot fault the food and overall atmosphere. You never feel rushed either. Even the special lunch menu does not compromise on quality and value. Excellent ! the best in town!
Checcos – PrestonDelicious Chinese food cooked quickly and to perfection. The tastiest takeaway around and . Highly recommended
Bamboo Chinese Takeaway – PrestonTake Away Food Shops If you like a good meat or vegetable dish these guys make it brilliant! Friendly, polite and always talk to you while you wait for your food, their food is stunning!"
Bamboo Chinese Takeaway – PrestonI have just had a meal at this establishment, please be aware, if the meal is not up to standard the so called management do not want to know. This is not the first time this as happened. I thought it was all about customer service, not with this couple in charge. I would rather go hungry than visit this establishment again.
Smiths Arms – PrestonWe always enjoy this eating at Alberto's. The food is always excellent, the owner very friendly and accommodating and will always recommend a good wine
Don Alberto Ristorante Italiano – PrestonJust checked out the Spring Menu online and it's good to see that they have gone back to indicating the Vegan friendly dishes on the menu. Will visit soon and try the menu with a pint of their delicious Continental Bitter. (from Marble Brewery - Manchester) Any chance of Vegan Friendly desserts on your menu in future??
The Continental – Prestonthe smiths arms must be one of the the worst pubs in the fylde looks lovely on the outside but the way the manager treated me was unbelievable i got an 8oz steak that i couldn't even cut i told the manager about it when we was leaving and that my girlfriends food had paper in it i wasn't in a bad mood was still going to pay but then he told me there was nothing wrong with my steak and that the paper was my word against his this he is so rude and up himself I'm surprised anyone would go there i know i wont again
Smiths Arms – PrestonI wish this place was nearer me, right up my street. Preston has done well to have a forward thinking quality eatery like this. Fantastic ingredients and combinations on the menu, whether to eat in or out. We chose Turkish Aubergine soup, anchovy potato and olive bruschetta and another one with Italian meats. All tip top with very friendly and attentive service to match.
Deli Med – PrestonI suspect the previous recommendations have been written by the owner. The food is bland and tasteless. A huge disappointment and a waste of money.
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonI visited the Double Tree on the unveiling of the restaurant. Have to say i was not satisfied with the service. Understandable due to a few teething problems. On the other hand i went to the double tree with my wife and a few friends during the week and have to say: If you want to experience great food and great service Double Tree is for you. The Double Tree staff were attentive and service excellent. You can taste each component of the food, not like some Indian restaurants which seem to use one sauce to form the basis for most dishes. They will always accommodate your wishes regarding HOTNESS, also to mention the fact that we were offered a round of complimentary drinks. Great Treat and highly recommended!
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonWe dine here every week the staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem. Great choice of menus and able to help with food intolerances. Good value for money with homemade food, not frozen microwave rubbish you get in other local pubs.
The Pear Tree – PrestonWe live locally so visit various places in the area... Pinocchios is not our favorite place to dine we have had better food and service at other local food establishments. lunch is good here off the special lunch menu, but dinner is rather expensive, the wine menu is varied but again very expensive. 2 starters, 2 main courses 1 bottle of wine. 1 vodka and coke and 1 pint of bitter... £74.00 without a tip
