We had our daughters christening at Tinos. The function room was lovely, service was excellent and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Had a fantastic day and would certainly recommend Tinos Restaurant.
Tinos – Preston
Preston in Lancashire is a cosmopolitan city located on the River Ribble and is also the home of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Many restaurants and food pubs can be found in the city centre and its suburbs.

Tinos – PrestonWe held our Wedding Reception at Tinos and haven't stopped receiving compliments. As a fussy' bride to be' Tinos were more than accommodating; giving lots of advice and reassurances. Their professionalism shone through on the night and every request was dealt with in a 5 star manner. The chefs laid on what I can only describe as the most stunning mouth watering food that made for an unforgettable Wedding party. The champagne and canape reception was a fabulous start to the evening and set the scene for our Casino themed event. We still can't believe how they delivered a high end service, beyond expectation, at such a reasonable price. If you are looking for a venue for that special occasion then Tinos should be on your shortlist.
Tinos – PrestonHad a really nice lunch at pond today, we chose the chefs tasters absolutely delicious, we had visited duk previously and thought that nothing would be as good but i have to say that both are excellent. I will be recommending both far and wide and i shall look forward to visiting again soon. We are very intrigued by freds shed they say its coming soon it sounds exciting these people are obviously talented and creative with names, i for one cant wait to see what it is.
Duk-Pond – PrestonThe restaurant decor was quite nice, but the bar was self service and I felt that the price for water and accompaniments was way over the top, considering the prices which were charged for what I found to be quite average food. Overall, the food was ok but not worth what they were asking. In my opinion if someone is happy to pay these prices for Indian food, the Indian gourmet evening at truffles restaurant in whittle-le-woods is definitely superior.
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonIf you want a great meal and excellent eating experience go to the Shampan, I recommend their Nepali chicken or any of their meals on the menu as they are all prepared and cooked to perfection, the staff, Kal and his team, are the friendliest I have come across. Penworthams finest.
The Shampan – PrestonA little piece of heaven! We first dined at Angels on Christmas Day 2008 and have returned to this fabulous restaurant many times since. We have always received a first class service. In January my husband arranged my 50th birthday celebration and booked the whole restaurant for the occasion. Everyone was totally amazed by the venue, the lovely staff and of course the wonderful food. (they are still talking about it!) We have recommended it to many of our friends and they have never been disappointed. We are there again tonight for the dinner jazz evening and look forward to another unique dining experience. Thank you Nick, Shaun, Lewis, Simon and team.

Angels – PrestonA fine pub. Recently `done up,' but they have refreshed it without killing its character, Great people, very good beer, and I can recommend the food. (PS: I'm picky, trad, choosy about beer and nosh, and hard to please!)
Green Man – PrestonExpected great things from this award wining Indian. Place is cool, service professional though a bit surly. Food is better than the normal Indian restaurant in terms of choice and preparation. My Chicken spinach dish had an excellent sauce and reasonable meat. My partners Lamb was far too chewy and she left it. I am always disappointed that Indian restaurants struggle getting Lamb tender. This place purports to be top class. However with meat like this it fails to be. Therefore wouldnt return in a hurry. Shame.
East Z East – PrestonCame here doing a tour of the "Good Beer Guide" pubs in Lancashire. Excellent pint of well kept Thwaites Nutty Black and Cumberland sausage/mash to die for - thoroughly recommended.
Smiths Arms – Prestonrecommend i think not. terrible service, the customer is definitely not right burnt food would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
Porcinis – PrestonI think we must have been very unlucky! We are an easy going family and have never had to complain about restaurant food like this before. There were eleven of us, and the starters took three quarters of an hour to arrive. When we finally got them, one had been forgotten, and didn't arrive until after everyone else had finished. The main courses were either over-cooked, or in some cases, BURNT! I was told that my seafood crepe was burnt because it had been in the oven, and that it was ok on the inside. Actually it wasn't ok on the inside; the prawns were rubbery when I tried one. I prefer mine less well cooked. If this is Italian cooking at it's finest, I think I'll give it a miss.
Porcinis – PrestonThis is my favourite Thai restaurant! Their menu is vast with a great choice and very reasonable prices. Everytime we go we always choose the banquet which has never let us down yet. It is a small, intimate restaurant with a lovely Thai lady who is more than helpful and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Thai Orchid The – PrestonFriendly staff make children very welcome Good local Italian pizza pasta try the special board normally quite good - starter main course bottle wine £50 good value for money
Checcos – PrestonWe visited Pinocchio's last night for hubbies birthday and the 1st time for him - we live about 1 mile away. We were seated as we arrived and drinks brought to the table. I was amazed that the restaurant was so busy for a wintry Tuesday night! Our starters arrived within 15 mins of ordering - I had spicy chicken wings done with chilli, garlic and peppers off the main menu, OK but not fantastic and hubby had salmon fish cakes with chili dip off the specials menu, which again were OK nothing special........ For mains I had scallop and scampi tail thermidor off the specials menu served with boiled rice, boring but nice carrots and broccoli - again just nice but not WOW! Hubby had guinea fowl with mushroom ravioli off the specials - the pastry was a little too thick for his liking though and again no WOW factor. We were too full for sweets but they did sound good. With one bottle of peroni and a lime and soda, the bill came to £51.40. Nice restaurant but not our favourite.
Pinocchios – Prestonas a regular visitor to the restaurant,i honestly can say that I've never had a bad experience here. the food is always excellent, the staff are brilliant, with a good atmosphere. best italian for miles around.
Tinos – PrestonA truly wonderful local Chinese restaurant. The owners are a husband and wife from two regions of China. Spotlessly clean premises, nice surroundings and only 2 minutes from the A59 dual carriageway (exit at New Longton and follow Longton signs). The food is always well prepared, my children love the crispy chilli beef. A regular stop over when we've had a long hard day and want a tasty tea. Not expensive either. Additionally, the male owner loves eating out and will share his recommendations of other premises, particularly in Manchester,
Longton House – PrestonI have been to the italian orchard on several occasions and everytime the food has been excellent and therefore i would recommend its to anyone!
