I had to wait for a free table 1 and half hour when they had told me i had to wait half hour.the staff was indifferent and the manger was extremely rude,not attentive at all.my main course was overcooked and no one checked the meal back....i was deeply disappointed!

After arrival at a Restaurant with much potential due to its popularity and decoration, things went downhill. With a large group celebrating a wedding anniversary, whilst waiting to be seated a round of drinks was ordered. We were informed this could however not be added to the bill, which is normally standard practice and that they did not have the facility for payment by card at the bar. Once seated orders were taken, and most of our starters placed on the hotplate, these were left for a long time whilst the rest of the order was completed. A number of the dishes ordered were incorrect and surplus dishes were also brought to the table. One member of the party had muscles of which a quarter were closed and another member of the party ordered scallops, of which only two were presented (a known expensive item but which do not cost £4.50 per scallop), unfortunately these re-appeared later in the evening in a manner which was not appreciated by the eater! The restaurant was very well staffed, however food did not seem to leave the hotplate quickly and plates were left at our table for a prolonged period of time. At the end of the evening a very strong smell of cleaning products appeared from the Kitchen area, and while it is good to know the place gets cleaned (even though the food may not be fresh) it is not an enjoyable smell when people are still eating. For a supposedly up and coming restaurant there are many more very good Italians in the Preston / Southport area which are far better and do not give the diners food poisoning.

I am surprised there aren't more recommendations here! I was dubious at the start about what the quality of the food would be like here but after coming here three times recently I have been pleasantly surprised! The first time I pimped for the pork grill, not very healthy but extremely tasty, there were three kinds of pork accompanied by a slice of fried black pudding. Yum. The second time six of us went for sunday lunch, I had roast beef and it was very good, and most recently some of us went drinking there and I shared the combo platter with a companion and compared to the combos I have had in pubs (and there have been a lot!) I have to say it was the best! If you are looking for good quality pub grub at a very reasonable price then you really should go here. The beer is well kept as well. I am going again tonight!

great food,great staff...have been every year for the last five years and stayed overnight...rooms are also lovely...okay,the menu hasn't changed, but when it's this tasty, why mess with it?

Service and food was excellent. Staff eager to please. Lovely surroundings - ideal for large groups or parties.

We thought we'd check this place out as a potential venue for my father's forthcoming 70th birthday celebration. We expected great things, it coming from the same stable as Italian Orchard and Pinocchios. What a disappointment. The food was lovely but only adequate for the rather expensive prices. The service was appalling, again, disappointing. The first bill that arrived was wrong - coming to a whopping £89 for 2! We queried it - the waiter even implied that he didn't believe us - and the second attempt was wrong also. Having approached the desk by now - we eventually got it down to £75. Still expensive considering the standard of food & service received. The manager was summoned but only offered apologies for our disappointment, no 'encouragement' to return and give them another chance. They will not be getting another penny from me, nor my family who were quite keen for the party to take place there.

I went to buffet @ Preston two weeks ago for the first time and i must say i was far from impressed! The atmosphere was colder than McDonalds or even a dentist surgery. The soup was cold and when my friend told one of the depressed looking staff they discovered that the soup kettle wasn't even switched on at the plug! i didn't eat mine. We then went for our main course and found that the food was roughly body temperature, not good. These people are serving chicken and prawns at an extremely dangerous temperature! If environmental health took the time to visit this restaurant and probe the supposedly hot food they would shut the place down on the spot! Rest assured i will not be visiting again. I am shocked that we didn't come down with food poisoning. Awful.

Have i been to the same place? The food served was "take away" quality at best - the price is OK if you make sure you eat your fill. Service I found to be rude, you walk in and told "upstairs", in essence you're treated as part of a production line. They get you in and get you out as soon as possible. And as for treating kids well. I went in with my baby daughter (18 months) and was approached by a presume a manager (he was wearing a suit) who just pointed at my daughter and said "she has to pay"!!!!! I was so shocked, I never thought or asked if she would be free - i should have left but i have never been back.

We go regularly and the staff who work there get friendlier every time. it makes us feel comfortable. the range of food is fantastic, with so many different options. its the best place in the Lancashire for all you can eat buffet, i would recommend to everyone...

Great pizza, but very loud once it fills up on a weekend.

Went to bukara restaurant when it first opened and didn't really rate it small portions and service not to clever, then went recently again given every body deserves a second try teething probs ect,well if you have never been to a halal restaurant give it a try these guys have stepped up to 2008 standards leaving your usual curry houses with there flock wall paper typical tasteless curries with no genuine spices for those who know there apni (indian)curries.. well done guys very modern Indian cuisine along with exceptional service.

Really disappointing - the worst Indian meal we have ever tasted. We had two main courses, rice and side dish and everything tasted the same - of nothing! As if the chef had a pot of sauce - gravy with some chilli added - and he used that for all the dishes. No spices, no flavour. Very disappointing as the restaurant was lovely, the service fine.

Tino's food is fantastic, everything I ate was delicious, my partner wasn't keen on the soup as it was too watery but I enjoyed it, the garlic mushrooms were also spot on. Also expect to wait a while in the bar before you are seated as it does get extremely busy. I will defo be going again and I'm confident enough to try a different dish off the menu. It's the best Italian I have ever been to.

We live in Thornton, both retired and spend most of our spare time looking for good restaurants - the Italian Orchard is by far our favourite because of the atmosphere, value for money and choice

We live in Blackpool where there is no shortage of Italians but regularly make the trip out to the Italian Orchard. Food is good and a great choice with the main a la carte to go off as well as a long list of specials. Same applies to the wine. Service efficient but the clincher is the atmosphere -- despite being massive it's always busy and there is always a real buzz here which is just what you want from an Italian (Tiggis in St Annes is similar in terms of the buzz). Great for the kids too with loads of space to run around outside as well as a play area. Only slight downer is the noise from the M6 which runs right past the restaurant but once you are inside you don't notice anyway.

Food is excellent, brilliant service. I have visited this restaurant about a dozen times - not had a bad experience yet! Got my recommendation.

FANTASTIC!!! My wife and I dined with three other couples a few months back. Firstly, eight of us turned up to the Houghton restaurant after booking at the other Thyme restaurant in longridge. It was a very busy Saturday night but they didn't turn us away, they sat us in the bar area (Small but sufficient) and offered us drinks whilst they sorted things out. We were worried looking at how busy it was that there would be a long wait but they managed somehow to sort a table out after about ten minutes. This was fine by me as it gave me time to look through the mouth-watering menu and enjoy my tanqueray gin and tonic (served to perfection by the young gentleman on the bar who later impressed us with his wine-serving skills). Secondly i'd like to mention that before I went to the restaurant I read the reviews on this site. I had before tried to book a table (At the hoghton restaurant and had not been able to get a table as it was so busy. only one of the couples had been before and they said it was great. reading the views i got a mixed impression of what i was to expect. Some great comments followed by some worrying signs. Incorrect glassware and no atmosphere! I was totally blown away with how wrong these comments were. Every table had both a red and a white glass in every place and the retaurant was bustling away with a great atmosphere. I too thought the wine menu was a little short and a little on the cheaper side. When i mentioned this too the young gentleman who was about to serve the wine I had chosen, he explained that a premier wine list was in the works and listed the premium bottels of wine that they stocked. he knew his stuff and chose a fantastic bottle of wine for me and my brother-in-law to share. All the staff were well presented and truly were an asset to the restaurant. I have been told that there is a cut down version of the menu that isn't available on a saturday but is a great price. i had absoulutely no issue with the price and was infact supprised to pay so little. one of the couples in our party had a hi-life card and they got a meal for free which seems generous enough.
