Great meal, with friendly atmosphere & staff x highly recommended x
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallThe food was good as it had been in the past. As always the young waiting on staff were friendly and efficient. But unfortunately the restaurant was very cold despite them plugging on a small fan heater. This did spoil the evening. The people on the table near us sat with their coats on as my wife did. This you don't want to do when you are having a meal.
Siena – RossendaleExcellent service as always and very friendly staff. All the food was delicious. We chose from the midweek menu and it was excellent value for money. It was fairly quiet so not much atmosphere but that was fine as it meant we could talk.
Siena – RossendaleWhat a fantastic afternoon with my family celebrating my birthday. Firstly the staff were all lovely, friendly and informative. They made it special, excellent cocktails to begin with. The food was absolutely fabulous every single item ending with an delicious tiramisu for me.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallGreat choice of food on the menu. Food always piping hot and plenty of it. Wine always chilled to perfection. Excellent quality ingredients. Sunday roast is fabulous. Service and staff also excellent. Cannot fault anything about this lovely pub. Its a real treat.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallBest Sunday lunch I have ever had.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallExcellent food and service as always. Brilliant atmosphere.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe used to go to the Whitchaff regularly before covid but sadly all our routines changed after lockdown ended. However, we were driving past and decided to go in for old times sake. It was a delight it was warm and welcoming although physically it had changed beyond recognition. It had more a restaurant vibe than the old pub vibe. The menu was excellent something for everyone whatever size your appetites or pockets will allow. Our food was wonderful and everything we remembered and more. We will not leave it as long this time before we return. A very big thank you and well done on the excellent changes.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely lunch yesterday. I had steak fajita on ciabatta and my friend had pulled pork wrap and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. No room for desserts but we had coffees. Unfortunately I’m of that age where I could have done with a decaf cappuccino but I was told they only did decaf plain coffee (I’m guessing she meant filter coffee? Americano? Instant? Not sure). Anyway I had a normal cappuccino & it was fine. Will definitely be back.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely lunch, excellent friendly service.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallOrdered the steak pie chips a mushy peas, the pis wa Luke warm and warmed in the microwave which made the pastry soggy, very disappointed. On a good note other family members meals were very nice.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallExcellent food and service at a reasonable price.
Siena – RossendaleFantastic food and excellent service as always. Recommend the beef carpaccio and the spare ribs also the montepulciano red wine is delicious
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe stopped going to the Whitchaff under the previous owners but since the it changed ownership and had a full refurbishment we have never been disappointed. Myself and my wife have had many meals there aswell organised family celebration meals. Our most recent visit was Saturday 12th January 2025, myself and my wife had an early evening meal at 6.45pm. We booked online a few days prior which was really simple. Arrived slightly early but our table was ready and we were shown straight to it. Drinks order taken whilst we viewed the menu . For starters my wife had the Nduja Mac & Cheese Bombs and I have the Tempura King prawns. I know it’s a cliche but to say they were ‘To die for’ was no understatement. Piping hot and delicious we even tried each others. For our main course we broke from our tradition and had a sharing board (the Cajun one, I can’t recall its proper name). We absolutely loved it, nothing left over because it was so nice and we were both pleasantly stuffed. Unfortunately we had no room for desert. Once we had finished and the plates cleared away, there was no pressure on us to vacate the table, staff were still enquiring if we wanted more drinks. We left and all we could talk about on the way home was how levels the meal had been. I don’t often write reviews, only generally when we’ve had a really bad or really good experience and this clearly fell into the latter. This is definitely b coming back again…. And again.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallLovely food, great service and friendly welcome. When we arrived it was busy but the service was quick and the food arrived within 20 minutes. Staff really friendly and prices are good for the quality.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallExcellent Sunday roast. The cauliflower cheese is delicious...
