V good.
The Firepit Bar and Grill – RawtenstallWhen we went I had a burger (blue cheese) and my partner had gammon. The gammon was apparently very good, but I'm afraid the burger itself was fairly tasteless despite looking amazing. The prices for some things are steep so the taste of the food really needs to justify the price tag and my order unfortunately didn't. We have decided to try this place again in a few months time as they were having difficulties with the menu and half the menu simply wasn't available, it would be nice to see if improvements happen.
The Firepit Bar and Grill – RawtenstallThese prices are extortionate, lower the prices.
The Firepit Bar and Grill – RawtenstallWe give the restaurant a ten, the food and service was very good. Keep it up.
The Firepit Bar and Grill – RawtenstallReally nice fish and chips and also delicious potato fritters. They also do proper "Cod" rather than pangasius. Big flaky chunks in crunch moist batter. A proper "Old school" chippy !!
Ilex Chippy – RawtenstallHi I'm Portuguese and loved this restaurant, the best choice you are. 6 stars.
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallWent on Saturday 19/10/13 with our friends. Ordered the set meal for £21.95.Booked for 6.30pm.Glad we booked it for then as it was very busy by 8 pm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely fab, could not fault it one bit. They always asked when you wanted to be served the next course of the set meal, there was no rush they kept saying. The only thing i would say was the guitar player, not got the x factor,he looked like Andy Capp from the newspaper cartoon.
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallExcellent restaurant, good food, lovely staff. Special offers Monday to Thursday evening. Nice roast dinner on a Sunday.
Anacapri Restaurant – RawtenstallNot 5 star food only fair had better at other indian in rawtenstall ,no cloths on tables ,paper napkins all in all not worth the money.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallAn aesthetically pleasing extension of the original church building, the Tearoom is warm and welcoming with a good choice of local produce on the menu. Staff are pleasant and helpful and the food we had was delicious. Special mention to the cakes, be sure to leave room for some!Afterwards you can browse round the excellent Antiques Centre, which really does have something for everyone.
Holden Wood Tearooms at Holden Wood Antiques – RawtenstallI was told things about the tea rooms by friends so we went today for lunch the tea room is a large conservatory extension to an old church which has been converted into an antiques centre although it was quite busy it has a lovely feel to it it was waitress service and the waitress was polite and help full there are a good range of meals on the menu and extras on the specials board they use well gate fisheries and meat from south mire farm in the trough of bowland I had a steak muffin and my friend had the plaice both where beautifully cooked and very well presented and very reasonably priced my steak was tender and moist and came with chips and salad we were to full to have a pudding but they did look goo d after the meal we had a walk around the antiques centre which was fascinating and we whiled away a couple of hours most enjoyable
Holden Wood Tearooms at Holden Wood Antiques – RawtenstallSet in a beautiful old church aesthetically it is beautiful. The coffee was very pleasant, although it was a rather cold to sit any length of time in the cafe. The access for disabled Is none existent unfortunately, and although the drinks were satisfactory some alarming confusion arose over the allergy content of some of the cakes and as a result Im unfortunately unwell. The chocolate brownies was very dry, even my fork found it an impossible challenge, when ordering a chocolate brownies l exspect a moist decadent brownie consistency and I was extremely disappointed to discover otherwise. The other cakes my party ordered however were only a little better. The customer service at intervals came across as complacent/aggressive. I feel my own and my parties exsperance on this occasion was unfortunate, distressing due to the uncertainty of a product that had been served as Gfree and I have been unwell since consuming it, which would alert me to contamination with a none Gfree source. Unfortunately Due to this exsperance and the exsperance of all of the party of people I attend with the party agree unfortunately on this occasion we would not frequent the establishment again for food consumption. However I have to give praise where due, too the extremely helpful staff in the antiques side of the establishment.
Holden Wood Tearooms at Holden Wood Antiques – RawtenstallThis was our first visit to Holden Wood Tear Rooms. The Grane road was blocked with snow so we decided to come in for a breakfast and a hot drink. When we came in there was an array of freshly cooked cakes on the counter having just come out of the oven to cool. The smell was gorgeous and we wished we were coming for afternoon tea. However the full English breakfast did not disappoint and the coffee was wonderful. All round we found the service polite and helpful and the best breakfast we have had for ages. We will return.
Holden Wood Tearooms at Holden Wood Antiques – RawtenstallWent here with the boyfriend on a Saturday night, arrived at 8pm without a booking but was seated with our first course by 8.45pm. We ordered the set meal menu 2. IT WAS HUGE! Lovely cold platter of meats, cheese, garlic bread (yum), olives accompanied by chilli potatoes. Then the tapas - four dishes AND paella of the day (which was chicken when we went). We arrived really hungry and left in pain we had eaten so much. The food was delicious and we didn't want to leave any. Highly recommended! Friendly staff, big portions, good quality and good value!
Casa Tapas – Rawtenstallfood average, service bad, great for a mid week meal but wouldnt go for a weekend meal. Atmostphere could be improved if the public house underneath had music a little quieter.
Indian Harvest – RawtenstallThe most expensive and over rated resterautn every eat at. The Pizza kebab house down the road would be much better quality. Charging £50 for a take away for 2 people that tast disgusting is shocking. I will never eat at Nino's again, even though I have lived local for over 20 years and grown up with this restaurant...such a shame! PS the last 6 occasions have been disappointing and this is my last supper with you
Nino’s Rawtenstall – Rawtenstallfirst visit last night 3/8/2012,food fantastic staff great and friendly, till the time myself and friend decided to use our electronic cigarette then went down hill from there,we was told that other guest's would have thought we was smoking,How i dont know it light's up blue and is only a vapour no smell and whom would light up a proper cigarette inside anyway,it doesnt cause any distress to anyone,we was a party of 3 and spent 120.00 pound's then was told we couldnt have coffee outside on there seating area, and they treated us very rudley after that,so we dont feel we can go back, they was very pleased to take our money's but with no smile and bill just dumped on the table.
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallAfter reading the reviews we are very pleased to say our expectations were met to the highest standards. Food was superb and the service was excellent. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and making the Raj Durbar our new favorite Indian restaurant. A special thanks for looking after us so perfectly on our special night. Try this place you will not be disappointed.
