Raj Durbar – RawtenstallI loved this venue, however my evening was ruined by the management asking the band to leave after only half a set. If you book a band on the weekend of Leeds/Reading and Pride and do nothing in the way of advertising the event then you cannot expect a packed crowd. The night got even worse went the management tried to rip the band off causing an embarrassing confrontation in front of the bar. Like I say, nice venue, shame about the clueless management!!!
Artisan Cafe Bar – Rawtenstalli would recommend anyone trying this restaurant , the people who run it and the owner , put you first , my fiance at the time , had a meeting with the owner , and they arranged flowers , wine on ice , chocolates , and a big red heart balloon , all for me , as my now husband now , got down on one knee , and proposed to me , thumbs up to north street for their help , and service with that xxx
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallTerrible attitude towards children. If you wish to be glared at whilst you run up a bill of £60 within 45 mins then dine here. Really dreadful. If you wish to eat Greek dishes deemed as tapas then you have found it, humus and taziki.
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallNow this is not a recommendation,we ate at the place and it was terrible. What we couldn't understand is that people had recommended it and we couldn't understand why. The starter that we had was not fully warmed. The main course tasted like it was from Tesco and the restaurant seemed to be run by kids. We saw no sign of any obvious Italian staff in the place. On the plus side it must be said that the place was clean and although the staff were youngsters they were helpful polite and attentive. There were other people dining in the place (about 2 tables in all) and we wondered if these people dined there regularly. We on the other hand will not be returning as we wouldn't like to take a chance it might ruin our night. The meal on this occasion certainly did.
La Veranda – RawtenstallCalled in for a Meal on Sunday 29th May 2011 and we both decided to try the £8.95 offer, the service was good and the food was both delicious and plentiful. We didn't have any Alcohol but ordered 2 teas. Tea consisted of 2 small cups at £1.30 per cup. Would have been nice to have had a teapot. Our only gripe was that we had plenty of food left over and normally a restaurant are happy to let you take it home with you. We asked to take it home, but we were refused!! being told "its not the restaurants policy to take food away". Such a shame as we would have gone there again and we even offered to pay for a doggy-bag. Needless to say no tip offered.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallI have been to this restaurant about three times, on my third visit i am sorry to say i will not be returning. The food was good but the prices of drinks was not. We were over charged for drinks and also they added a cover charge of £15.00 on to our bill which has never happened before. This was supposed to be a good value for money restaurant and it has become very over priced. In this current climate there are such a lot of restaurants out there doing great food and great prices. I'm sorry this restaurant is not one. I could of gone to Harvey Nichols in Manchester drinking champagne and been served by a five star michelin chef and my bill would of been cheaper.
Casa Tapas – Rawtenstallvery nice food but i always go for the good old fish chips peas and gravy.
Tims Chip Stop – RawtenstallWe went to Ninos on a Wednesday night 6adults and 2 children, the food was superb and the waiters couldn't do enough for us,I have been before on a weekend and i did feel like I was being rushed to finish my meal so they could get another party on the table but not this night, great food lovely service!
Nino’s Rawtenstall – Rawtenstalli love this place but i tryed bellissimos down the road and i think bellissimos is a lot better and u don't feel rushed
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallHave been here many times and is always fantastic, we went again on Wednesday night for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it was no exception. We ordered way too much (as usual) because the portions are always plentiful, but even managed to force down a dessert afterwards. My 2 yr old little girl was left to play around our feet as it was fairly quiet, and the owners didn’t mind so was a really nice evening all in all, and we spent a good 2 1/2 hours here & certainly were not rushed to leave. This is definitely a value for money restaurant and offers many varieties of set meals, oh and has a nice selection of wines including a lovely bottle of rose which helped us along the way. Keep up the great work, Thanks
Valley Cantonese – RawtenstallThe best in town, they have set the bar for a good experience. Other restaurants don't compare to the quality and atmosphere of the beaten track. A proper time out not just the normal Indian with no personal flavour. They seem to be in touch with whats good, the unique style of the building, unpretentious but cool. and not too mention no cheesy music and the usual cheesy decor.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallI have been to ninos about 4 or 5 times now with work and with friends. the food is absolutely gorgeous but sometimes the service can be a bit better, i felt rushed and twice i have nearly ended up wearing my food because they are in so much of a rush to put it down and i have also had the vegetables dropped on my arm because again they where rushing. don't get me wrong it wont make me stop going here but i do wish they would slow down a little bit and be a bit more careful when delivering the food!
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallWent for a meal here at 7pm on a thurs, found this place quite a shock, I thought it would be run of the mill Indian but when you go in there is a lovely relaxing bar whilst you wait for meal, and the decor in the the restaurant is beautiful, the staff couldn't do enough for us, and much to my amazement there was an offer on £9.95 for any starter, main and a pilau rice from 4pm till 7pm up to thurs and up to 6pm sat and Sunday. How many Indian do deals at weekend. The food was fantastic absolutely delicious, and cause it was a large portion I was full so I asked if I could keep the rest of it to take home, the manager put it in a tub to take home and also put an extra free pilau rice in for me to have another meal. It was great from start to finish seriously think you should try this one.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallCrowded, noisy, waited far too long for a table. Rude disinterested staff. Poor food and poor value for money. Appears that a well established clique are catered for to the exclusion of others. I can only comment that they must be easily pleased.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallWhat a gem Casa Tapas is!, i wanted to take my girlfriend somewhere special as it was her birthday so we booked a table here for 8pm, it was packed but i can honestly say the waiters and waitresses were top class, nothing too much trouble. We opted for 5 dishes from the hot tapas menu, we were torn between the mussels and the scallops... we chose scallops which were great but next time it has to be the mussels...the plates were huge!, we even had a live flamenco guitarist play right next to our table in the corner...we love this place, can't wait to go again, friendly, great value and you can sit at the bar later or before for as long as you want. Book to avoid a wait....its worth it!.
Casa Tapas – RawtenstallAn absolutely amazing place we were recommended by friends and have never looked back since. The food is amazing, they with even cook a dish to your liking. You tell them what sort of herbs & spices you like and they will cook up a dish to suit you, WOW!! The wine menu is faultless and covers all tastes. Prices are very reasonable, especially when you look at the service you receive, the staff are so friendly and nothing too much trouble. We visit this restaurant as often as we can.
North Street Indian Restaurant – RawtenstallNila is the very best Indian restaurant I've ever had experience of. I've been visiting there over many years although not regularly. The food is always of high quality, the service is excellent and they really care about giving good service. They are all extremely pleasant and courteous. Their food is not overpriced either and if my budget allowed, I would be there every week! Thank you Nila for the pleasant evenings I have had there with my daughter Nicola.
