What a fab place this is! I went for the first time tonight after Carousel and its like a little gem tucked away in the tiny alleyway by the Coliseum, full of Dickensian rooms with beautiful dining tables and shelves of books and lots and lots of cognoscenti, serious people, radio 4 types and A list actors in evidence tucking into kind of smart comfort food and pisco sours. Its got a great atmosphere which is hard to describe but you just feel it right away, it is the opposite of corporate and very friendly and welcoming with everyone respecting each other and not staring at people, and the staff will never let you feel uncomfortable or second rate and they are as mad as a box of frogs! I can't wait to go again, its a really special place, the kind that makes memories.

Last week I had the pleasure to once again visit 2 Brydges Place with a member of this wonderfully atmospheric private club. There were eight of us celebrating and we were extremely well attended by the lovely Matt, in a private room on the third floor. The champagne and wine flowed as we were made to feel very special. I'd have no hesitation in recommending 2 Brydges Place as a delightful sanctuary in the midst of London's hustle. Hopefully you are lucky enough to know a member, or you can become a member for a yearly fee and, I believe, three referrals are required.

This is a private members club hidden away in a narrow alleyway just off St. Martins Lane. The food is good, the people are friendly, its small and quaint, the yearly sub is fairly average for London as is the price of the food, 3 refs are needed to join, its well worth the effort!
