This place is to be highly recommended from my experience. All bases are covered including food and wine, service and style. The atmosphere has a nice degree of decorum - special in fact. The staff range from professional, friendly to quirky, and that's a good range for me. We had a wonderful meal. The only thing that didn't work were the 'violet' potatoes. Blue food is probably only best reserved for blueberries, besides, it did nothing for the potatoes. And I think there are much better coffees to be found. Oh and nice hotel, just wish they would utilise the magnificent open fires to add the finishing touches it is crying out for! I know open fires can be a hassle, but people expect the effort and do appreciate it. I hope its not another Health & Safety reg that is putting them off using them. And cost will not do as an excuse. But apart from these three weak points, a wonderful experience.
