What a great experience at the Akbar's Leeds. Both the service and food was great, no complaints whatsoever. The service was excellent with the waiters being very helpful in recommending dishes and very patient with us. If you want a great time dining out, I highly suggest Akbar's!

The food was amazing! the place was very cozy and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. starters and mains were flawless and there were plenty to go around.

As fantastic as the food and service is at Akbars i must say that you fancy a nice relaxed atmosphere then DONT go here. This place caters for large groups and the dining room can become EXTREMELY noisy when its busy. You may need ear plugs to cope with the noise of everyone shouting over each other.
The food is however faultless and service fantastic.
If you are in a small group then visit the other Akbars in Leeds, you wont be disappointed!!!

VEGETARIANS BEWARE.
A nasty environment. Packing them in, and giving very very bad service.
I ordered a vegetable curry, and got bits of meat in my very small curry. Looked like they had just cooked it with the rest and picked out the meat. Without doubt the very worst restaurant I have ever eaten in in the UK. Seriously shocking! Avoid!

Truly awful. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We felt pressured to hurry and leave from the moment we sat down. Surly waiters hovering around the table trying to take plates before each course was finished. Even after asking them to stop they still pounced as soon as we'd finished (and I mean before the cutlery hit the plate). Our waiter brought out our main course while we were still eating our starters and insisted on shoving it onto the table. I asked him to wait and he said "I'll give you 2 minutes". Obviously, that went down like a lead balloon. Never going again. I eat out regularly and I'm not hung up on service generally as waiting staff, like all of us, have a myriad of faults, but this place was simply terrible... the food was actually quite nice but enjoying it in that environment is impossible. Awful.

Visited on a Saturday night. Arrived at 9:30 and seated at 11pm. Bar area very small a crowded for such a long wait. Food when it arrived was good but nothing special. Many other places available with comparable cost and quality. I'll be going to those next in the future.

Another superb restaurant from Akbars. The best Indian in Leeds. The place has a buz about it and they can never do enough to make you feel welcome. The food is excellent, and the price is very modest.
