My last visit to Ali Taj, literally, was some 5 weeks ago The restaurant is looking very tired and in much need of both a good clean and decoration. The service has deteriorated so much since my previous visits it was quite remarkable. The waiter literally dropped the cutlery and 2 minuscule paper napkins on the table for us to lay ourselves. There was a great sense of "eat up and get out" as if we were being hurried to release the table for the next customer. A very disappointing experience indeed, I will not be going back.
Whitehaven Foodie
A group of 5 of us ate here last Saturday. The food was generally very good although the service was a little lacking. There seemed to be lots of staff around but we did not get the water we asked for and a plate was not provided for one person's main course. Don't ask for a pudding as they all seemed to be unavailable.
