How this place remains open i don't know - fleas yes FLEAS walking and jumping on the tables where we sat; even in the glasses! The glasses were stained. We asked for a complete new set at our table. There were fleas swarming inside the hot food counters. Plates stacked for the buffet were unclean. Do not attempt to use the toilets: totally filthy. Mouldy food under the tables showing the place had not been cleaned properly for days. The only reason we did not leave was that we were attending a wedding ceremony and did not want to spoil the day for the newlyweds. I have made a formal complaint to the council. I even suffered stomach cramps after the meal. Even now i feel sick just thinking about it. i will not go back if they pay me.

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant. The food is brilliant and the fishes swimming past make this the best restaurant I have ever been to. If you take children they will not want to leave. The buffet is recommended. I will definitely go back to this place whenever I go to Bradford. This place is hard to beat. I think I will get married here as the roof if stained glass and they have a huge stage. From upstairs you can see downstairs as well which would be perfect for any wedding.

On a recommendation we ventured into Bradford to go to Anam's - to be honest I'm surprised it's been so overlooked? This is a beautiful restaurant with a wide and varied menu covering all sorts of Indian cuisine. Aside from the a la carte menu there is also a buffet available for £12.95 which is fresh and tasty - we went for the buffet and there was plenty to choose from.
We had lamb kofta-type sticks, pakoras in a lovely, light batter and chicken tikka to start - all very tender and aromatic. A selection of curries, chapatis, naans and vegetable dishes followed and we were too full for dessert! The staff were very attentive and friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The place is pretty huge and one of the guys told us they have Indian wedding parties there a few times a week - this sort of speaks for itself!
In the middle of the restaurant there's a pool filled with the most enormous catfish and koi carp - intriguing and unexpected but really it just added to the experience! The restaurant isn't licensed and we drank a jug of mango lassi - thick and creamy and just what we wanted. I highly recommend you try it for yourself and see! If you're looking for an inexpensive feast (and I honestly think feast is the right word here!) then Anam's is your gaff. Hope you find this useful!

I'm a regular at Anam's and I love their buffet. The service I receive is always of an excellent standard. There is this one staff member who is older than the rest of the staff and is there to welcome the customers. I cannot say enough about this guy. He makes us feel very welcome and will always ensure we have a good time. He usually brings us a special dish, aside from the normal buffet and always treats us like we are valued customers. Just as it should be! I've previously been a regular at Mumtaz Restaurant, but always felt like I was another number who walked through the door. Whether it was Mumtaz or Akbar's I always felt that as an Asian customer I always came second! Seriously, the service that white people receive at these restaurants is always second to none (Sorry if anyone feels offended - I'm not discriminating), but I always felt that we were treated differently. Maybe because I'm your day to day working class customer and not posh enough! Crazy, I know!!

First trip to Leeds, first time at Anams and first time tasting Indian food. It was all great. Good way to start my trip. I definitely loved the fishes right in the middle of the restaurant. They were beautiful. The place was clean and the food was very enjoyable. One of the places I would definitely want to visit again on the next trip. Superb!!!!
