We had a meal and the food was great although the staff were to shy to even come talk to us whilst at our table. A big scream of HOW ARE YAH! as soon as you walk in which I found very disrespectful for I am a man who considers a calm evening and a nice chat with the workers, which I am not satisfied with. My favourite was watching the waiter move very fast and frisky with the trolley. Besides that the venue is very neat and was told I would not find a single bit of dust in any corner of the restaurant ,which I am very pleased with. I give them a thumbs up on hygiene. They are doing the very best they can but can be more active with the customers.

We eat Indian food at least once a week. Living in the Manchester area we are used to excellent quality (Akbar's in Manchester for instance). We found ourselves in Darwen on taxiing duties for 15 year old party girl so researched in advance.
Absolutely excellent food & service. Lovely atmosphere & decor. We chose chicken tikka puri, prawn puri followed by a balti & vindaloo. Faultless food. Highly recommended.

Been for a leaving do, was disappointed with a couple of dishes, lamb jalfrezi was not as I would have expected, ordered hot hot but got mild very mild, they did change my dish with a replacement but still not satisfactory,Friend ordered mild and got hot, charged for individual portions of pilau but only received one tray of pilau which should be for one dish not for 6. Charged 5 times for one dish which was extra with main dish, overall rating out of ten I would give 5,

First class restaurant. Great food and service and immaculately clean. We will re-visit.

By the looks of these reviews we all seem to have been going for over 20 years. I certainly have so that must give a clear indication of what Anaz is like. The problem we have is wherever we are in the World we always end up comparing our Indian curries to that of Anaz. Anaz always comes out top.

We visit Anaz every Saturday night Mr Ali and all his staff are fantastic I have the same every wk chicken chat to start and lamb curry and it is perfect every time a visit is a must

I used to live in Darwen and visited the Anaz regularly from the day it opened until I moved away some 20 years ago. It is the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in and I still take my family back there for special occasions but what impresses me is how Mr Ali still remembers me from all those years ago and still makes us all feel so welcome.

I have been going to Anaz about 25 years and it has always been the best. Mr Ali makes you feel so welcome. I have been to Indians in other parts of the country + other countries none compare, I met people in Morrocco from Wigan who said they travel to Anaz every week.

NOT CONSISTANT, & BEAR IN MIND THIS IS THE ONLY INDIAN IN DARWEN TO BE PROSICUTED ALTHOUGH A FEW YEARS AGO FOR FOOD HYGENE
