best steak in town

The service was appalling, we had to keep asking for attention. The table we were given was blocking the fire exit with one chair pressing against the fire extinguisher. The smell and smoke from cooking was revolting. The bill had been loaded with another customer's drinks who had left without paying. When confronted, the management admitted there was an error and explained how it happened. Food was ok, but would not return or recommend because of the bad experience.

Visited on thursday17th without booking.The place was busy but there were a couple of spare tables. I had a rib eye steak and my partner had sword fish.The steak was tender and tasty.The swordfish was cooked on the hot stone on the table.I have to say i did not like the smell of the fish cooking whilst eating the steak.The fish also ended up being a little dry as it needs a little butter or oil which you cant put on the hot slab.All in all not a bad meal,although i think it is a little on the expensive side.our bill was £67 for 2 courses and 2 drinks

If you love steak this is the place for you. The emphasis is on the meat, and boy is it good! We had the empanadas to start, they were delicious and light start to the meal. The easiest way to describe them is small pasties, but bursting with meaty flavour, highly recommended. The best thing about the restaurant is you order your steak by weight. What you get is all meat, the fat has been trimmed off so all 8oz is delicious moist steak. They also offer fish alternatives of you don't fancy the steak. A wonderful place, highly recommended, but you much book or you wont get, an absolute gem!

I can't believe no one has written a review for Argento yet. The only reason I can think is they want to keep it a highly guarded secret. For the best steak in Huddersfield visit Argento!Steak prices are very reasonable compared to some other 'posh' places.Steak is there speciality. You can even cook your own steak on a hot rock in front of you - Brilliant idea. Don't worry the staff are more than helpful. Booking STRONGLY advised. It is always busy. That is recommendation it self.
