When the present owners took over what used to be "Bella Italia" they had a few problems, but they are certainly over them now. This is classic Italian Bistro food taken to new heights. My family have adopted the restaurant as our dining out if choice. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food is superb. The pizza bread is the best I have ever had. My wife tells me that the Calamari and tiramisu are exceptionally good - and she is an expert in both! The house wines are good and reasonably priced, but the Italian beer, while excellent, is too expensive.I can recommend the restaurant for a quick pizza and a drink for under £15, or a full three course indulgence with too much to drink for about £35 a head.
