About Arnside Chip Shop
Situated in a prime spot on The Promenade at Arnside, overlooking the River Kent, you’ll find the Arnside Chip Shop and the Big Chip Cafe. They do things just a little differently here. For starters, you won’t find many fish & chips shops with a webcam, a raft of You Tube videos and an online shop selling branded t-shirts, mugs, brollies, cards, gift vouchers, sticky toffee pudding and even a backwards clock! It’s open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday to Sunday, with a takeaway counter and 27-seater café overlooking the water. Menus cover all the bases. You can have your fish battered, lightly battered, poached or with gluten-free batter. There’s sausage, pies, burgers and chicken as well as black and white pudding. Vegetarians are well catered for with burgers, bakes and samosas and there’s a special kids menu too. You can even check their website for tide tables and plan your visit to best catch a glimpse of the elusive Arnside Bore.
