My parents, when they were alive, went for lunch to the restaurant sometimes once a week for many years. I don't know when it first became a training restaurant but probably in the 70's and my mother would phone me every week to tell me what they had eaten and to tell me how good it was. The legacy she left is such that I still go there occasionally and I live fifty miles away. By co-incidence I am going next week!

I work at Trafford College (don't worry this isn't a massively biased review) and I must say that Aspire Restaurant is like an Oasis. Whenever I have had a particularly bad morning I like nothing more than to pop up to the restaurant and enjoy the outstanding food and overwhelmingly brilliant service; because this is a training restaurant one has upto eight people serving you at once: wonderful. Often I have been there and forgotten I am at work. It is a truly delightful experience.

I'm a student studying a BTEC National Diploma in Hospitality Supervision at Trafford College and I work in Aspire as part of my college course. I know this is going to sound a little irrelevant coming from a staff point of view but I have learnt so many new skills here as I had no previous work experience whatsoever before this course and i seemed to stumble upon the hospitality industry by accident to be quite frank, but I love it so much now. During my course, I have worked for Etrop Grange and Chester Races as part of my course and I have never been so confident. Anyway, back to Aspire. The customers who come and dine at the restaurant are always lovely and happy to give suggestions and help us through those more nerve wracking moments like silver serving veg!! :) I like to think that the customers really enjoy their experience here as we often see familiar faces in the restaurant. Overall, i think that Aspire is a well organised and the ambience is very peaceful and calming. You'd never know that the service is pretty much a lesson for us :)

Not only did this college provide outstanding service, The food was impeccable. The restaurant also provided an alternate menu after i declared my allergy to nuts! You wouldn? even know this was a training environment! Perfect!

You wouldn't know it was a training environment, as the food is spot on and the level of service is outstanding for students with so little experience. More local businesses should go and scout out staff.
Aspire Restaurant and Bar
This place is fantastic for a college restaurant its out doing some of Manchester? best places. A friend and I dinned here and the students were lovely and the staff which are the students very good top marks in fact. I will be coming here again for there Tuesday evening special dinners!
