Aubaine Cafe (Lower Ground Floor) in Selfridges is a hidden gem and a great place to stop for food or even just coffee and a cake.We dined there yesterday and the decor is contemporary, the atmosphere relaxed and service outstanding even though we were there over a very busy lunch period. The staff were attentive and keen to offer recommendations on the French wines, cuisine and patisseries on the dessert platter. We went for lunch and really enjoyed our food, in particular dessert. It is not a place for a cheap and cheerful lunch, but the food was tasty and the atmosphere chilled. We would definitely return, even if just to sample more from the amazing dessert platter.
