As always the BABA delivers fantastic service and beautiful food.
the staff are brilliant and attentive. A brilliant restaurant for a special meal.

Without doubt the best Indian Restaurant in Truro. Food is full of flavour and the staff are attentive. Plus you can BYO wine which keeps cost down.

My wife and I eat out whenever we can and have taken to visiting the BABA as a first option. The food and staff are above average and you are always made to feel a special customer. The owner maintains a very high standard at both restaurants. My only complaint is the menu. It's so big and under the soft lights the glossy finish makes it impossible to read. The food will certainly compensate for this little frustration.

Having recently revisited the restaurant, I was very impressed with the standard of service, quality of food and friendly atmosphere. Having strolled in at 8.30pm on a Friday night, we were assured of a table, were not kept waiting long and the food was served promptly. My husband plumped for a very good chick. tik. mass. and I had an unbeatable Coriander Lamb which is a complete meal in itself and can't be rated highly enough!!
The only gripe is that the spanking new glossy menus are a bit pants. Unfortunately they are virtually indecipherable due to the gold colour with silver or white font.
At £50+tip for two with wine and soft drinks, the meal was more expensive than a takeaway but if you want takeaway prices bloody stay at home!!
Highly recommended

Having been here a few weeks back on a holiday to Cornwall, I just have to write to recommend this restaurant to everyone. This is exactly the type of high quality restaurant we need over here in London. Right from the moment we entered the restaurant we were given a warm welcome, sat down promptly, and our orders taken with the utmost care and given recommendations on what would be best for our tastes. My wife went for the Coriander Lamb (exquisite dish) and myself the Chicken Naga Morris, another dish finely blended for the daredevil, who wants to get their heads blown off. The service itself was topped off by excellent chat and banter with the Manager's brother Onslo who was managing the place whilst he was on holiday. (There did not seem to be a subject which he wasn? able to chat about in great detail). All this before the food had arrived. Excellent presentation and wonderful aromas exciting our senses. Not to forget the great tastes as well. Food itself was above what you would normally pay for a Indian meal, but then again you pay for what you get , and you definitely get your monies worth here. Excellent Decor, Service, Food and Entertainment. I would give this place a 9.5 out of 10. Misses out on 10 because of the oversized menus and plastic sheeting on them. Ignore the bad reviews, definitely one to visit and I will next time I am in Cornwall.

OK restaurant, with OK service and OK food, but it feels rather dated (you can just about read through the plastic covers on the menu !). It is rather pricey for a basic Indian restaurant.

Exellent food and service, but too pricey!

I have been here several times now and can honestly say that I have really enjoyed the excellent food. However the last time I went, despite booking a table well in advance and it being a quiet Tuesday evening, it took an hour to seat us and a further hour to get our main course. We asked several times what was taking so long to get us seated but received no satisfactory answer. It was not full, in fact we could see several available tables and as I said we had booked a table which they acknowledged. Despite this we enjoyed the meal, this is definitely a more upmarket Indian and the restaurant is very clean and modern.

We buy take-away from this restaurant at least once a week and the food is excellent, the staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming. The last reviewer must have got out of the bed the wrong side on the day he/she went there! Try again you will not be disapointed.

You take no notice of the last report you received, obviously looking for your average cheap Indian, tell thm to go to Burger King in the future it will be more up their street.
