The Sunday carvery is the best I have ever tasted anywhere. The meats are succulent, proper roast potatoes, a rich gravy and a choice of many vegetables cooked to perfection. In addition, very pleasant and efficient staff. BEWARE - BOOKING ESSENTIAL!

This place is only ok if you want something average to eat and don't mind shoddy service. I visited last week when i was on holiday, it was Friday night and the place was half empty. There were loads of staff, however, none of them seemed to be aware of good customer service. Two of them nearly knocked me over on my way back from the carvery. We were told to order our drinks at the bar as that's the way they do it there - then it took nearly 10 minutes of standing at the bar as no-one was serving!

Great carvery - best to book a table at any time of year. We failed to get in without a booking in November!

My family and I have been talking about your sumptious carvery since we partook last year on holiday. We came again this year hoping the standard would be as good. I have to say it WAS and satisfied all our yearnings for good old roast. The meats were cooked to perfection and the choice of veg. awesome. We brought a St.Ives resident with us - family member-who lives alone and doesn't cook for herself now. She is well in her eighties I've never seen a roast demolished so quickly. She wishes you could do home delivery!!!!I wish you were in Pompey! I'll have to wait for next year but I have recommended you to a friend coming down in a few weeks.
Balnoon Inn
We have visited the Balnoon on numerous occasions. This is among the best places to eat in England and I cannot fault anything here. Highly recommend their carvery. All staff friendly and the locally produced food is cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit and supporting this local business

Superb fresh local ingredients. The staff were brilliant and we have been back there again and again.
Balnoon Inn
Absolutely fantastic . We visit again and again every year. We are a group of sometimes 10 or more and no one has ever found anything to complain about.
Balnoon Inn
My visit to Balnoon Inn took place on a Sunday lunch-time in the height of the holiday season. The restaurant was full, with an equal amount of local regulars as visitors. This impressed me as there are many good eateries to be found in the St. Ives area. The carvery food portions was most generous and served on piping hot plates by good humoured staff who couldn? do enough to make it a very pleasant 'eating out' experience. Altogether a superb meal at a very modest price.
