About Bangkok Cafe

Nominated for the Bar & Restaurant Design Awards and voted best 'cheap eat' in the UK by readers of the BBC's Olive magazine, Cardiff's Bangkok Cafe is an intimate and relaxed venue with a contemporary vibe. The Executive Chef has more than 20 years of international experience and the menus contain a range of familiar and less well-known Thai dishes as well as a Vegan menu and a Tuk-Tuk Children's menu. Produce is carefully sourced from local suppliers with most of the herbs and spices imported direct from Thailand. Open from 5.30pm every evening except Tuesdays and for lunch Wednesday to Sunday.

Nice Thai meal at Bangkok Cafe with good service. The allergen information is provided and excellent, but we were disappointed with the number of gluten-free choices available. No sharing starters are gf ( just soup) and just Pad Thai and salads as a main course. Although this was excellent, many other restaurants make gf more of a priority. Meals were enjoyed despite the lack of starters

Great meal. The whole table enjoyed everything. The food was fresh, and the server asked if we were ready for our mains as we had been engaged in conversation for some time. We will go back and highly recommend it. Thank You.
