Visited the Barbican Kitchen on Saturday night and had a wonderful meal. As we were there before 7pm a few of our group chose from the Express Menu which has just been updated, I had chicken terrine for starter and pork collar with celeriac mash which was delicious - 2 courses for £10.95 was such a great deal. Very stylish place and staff were friendly and helpful. Love the gin distillery bar upstairs too, its lovely that you can wait there with a cocktail for your table! Excellent.

We were a large group and this did not impact on the lovely dinners we had. We found the service to be excellent - not sure how they could have done better. Thoroughly recommend and surprisingly good prices.

I visited the Barbican Kitchen yesterday evening and was very impressed again. The 2 courses for £10.95 deal was brilliant, the pea and mint soup was delicious, as was the Pork. This is a stylish restaurant. The service was excellent, discreet and leisurely - We would not fault anything!

We spent a very enjoyable lunchtime at The Barbican Kitchen yesterday. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. They offer an express menu for £8.99 for 2 courses/ £9.99 for 3 courses or a more extensive menu if you are not as price or time conscious. I tried the tagliatelle for the main course with creme brulee for dessert and everything was delicious. We will thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Our small party spent over £250 pounds and yet they still made a charge of £8 for for bulk standard bread . I have written to the restaurant with my complaint and the did not even have the decency to acknowledge my correspondence. I really feel that this place is out to exploit its customers on the back of some daytime television shows

Although the food was nice the place lacked atmosphere and the service was quite slow

Very disappointed with the Barbican Kitchen, we were rushed, were not offered bread like everyone else and my order was wrong. Having booked this for my anniversary I was very disappointed and would not return. Morgans is much better and your treated like you should.

From the moment we walked in we were treated as somewhat second class citizens. The first waitress dumped us at our table and we discovered we were the only customers not to have been offered any bread and olives, the service continued to be fairly haphazard throughout the night. The food however was very good, just right. Just enough on the plate and extremely tasty. The food was therefore worth returning for, but the service could certainly bear some improvement.

Having tried the other "tanners" i was every bit as impressed with this welcome addition to the Plymouth restaurant scene. the service is excellent but discreet and the range of dishes on the menu will suit all tastes and budgets. modern decor with a relaxing atmosphere makes it a great night out.

A very welcome addition to Plymouth an contemporary, brasserie that uses very good ingredients and has excellent service. I dropped in for a quick re-fuel, Rib Eye and fries, pepper sauce, glass of good wine £17 The steak was excellent and large, cooked perfectly. I didn? like the presentation with a metal gravy boat and the fries at this sort of place should be hand cut, like at most of the posh burger joints around the UK. I will not hesitate to go back and found it excellent value.
