About Bardez Didsbury

Bardez is a new venue that opened in Didsbury in October 2023, building on the success of its sister restaurant in Rusholme. It’s named after the Bardez region of India’s coastal state Goa where founders Markus and Nico D’Souza were born and raised. Along with the kitchen team, who hail from the Indian Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, they have worked in top restaurants, bars and hotels across the world. Bardez Didsbury is a smart venue with a buzzy vibe and is open for dinner every evening except Tuesdays. The menu features a variety of traditional and contemporary dishes, ranging from Chaats, Tandoori, and Sizzles to Dum Biryani, Indo-Chinese and Curries. The kitchen team take great pride in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also visually stunning.

I booked a table here after positive feedback from a family member who visited before. We were not disappointed! The welcome was warm & friendly, the restaurant is modern with nice decor. My friend & I ordered starters, chaat & a main to share. The food was tasty with good sized portions. The staff were attentive and helpful. Restaurant became quite busy for mid-week but in the heart of Didsbury Village, that's not surprising. A lovely evening with 25% off the bill in August was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for good North Indian cuisine.

The food was awesome. Loved their hospitality and ambience. They gave us a warm welcome and stay interacting every now and then to reassure we were comfortable. Chilli prawns ,Chili chicken,Lamb recipes top notch mind blowing. Would always want to go back again and again

Fantastic place to have a meal! Portion sizes are great. Staff are amazing! The atmosphere is great! Love the service, not having to ask for water replacement. New cutlery after starters. Very attentive to tables. Then the food is just outstanding so tasty! It’s the best place we’ve been! Will forever return.

The restaurant was recommended by a friend after a recent visit. We made up a party of 4 and went for an early evening dinner. The staff were very welcoming and our server always had a smile. The food was superb and none of us were disappointed. Would definitely recommend going.

We were a table of 4 last Sunday evening (11 Feb 24). Just a few words to say how much we enjoyed our first meal in your restaurant. The food was amazing, so may different flavours. We took food home as we ordered to share and it tasted just the same next day. We will be regular diners and have already encouraged 2 bookings for tables this coming week already and I am sure there will be more. The staff were lovely and we had a long chat with the owner about the restaurant. Be back soon
