The Barley Mow is part of the Seafood Pub Company's stable of Lancashire gastropubs. It's situated in Barley Village at the foot of Pendle Hill and has been fitted out in true hunting lodge style with open fires, exposed wood and stone and lots of cosy corners. Executive chef Antony Shirley adds his international experience from Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge to Raffles in the West Indies. His menu range from lighter bites, salads and burgers to mains like Maryland cod cakes with creamed corn and baby spinach and Pork satay skewers as well as pub classics like Shepherd's pie served with smoked cheese mash and pickled red cabbage. And as a cask marque member, traditional award-winning cask ales and local brews from Lancashire breweries are part of a well-maintained selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks. The Barley Mow also has six guest bedrooms if you fancy an overnight stay after climbing Pendle Hill. It's one of eleven venues in the Seafood Pub Company.
