About Barnaby’s Lounge

Situated between the train station and the beach in central Hastings, Barnaby’s Lounge is a live music cocktail bar housed in an old Victorian building. It’s spread over two stylishly appointed floors with local artists’ work adorning the walls. There’s a late license at weekends with live jazz every Friday evening and at Sunday lunchtimes. Barnaby’s Lounge serves Illy coffee, charcuterie, veggie boards, tapas and a selection of fine wines. There’s also a Bottomless Brunch every day from 11am-4pm and a Happy Hour on cocktails Monday to Friday.

Bottomless Brunch, £40pp (min 2 people). Sharing Board and cocktails. Available 11am-4pm daily. Minimum of 2 people ~ Bottomless brunch lasts 2 hours from 11am - 4pm every day. Time starts at first cocktail. Group has same cocktail on each round OR each person sticks to the same cocktail throughout. 10% service charge will be applied to table service.

I had a very pleasant evening at Barnabys lounge. I had a most enjoyable meal and was in time for a couple of Happy Hour cocktails. A jazz band supplier great music. It's a nice place to get together with friends for drinks or a meal and listen to music.

Booked a table there for lunch on their website and when I arrived I was told that they didn’t know about my booking because they had not checked their email. As a ex landlord the first thing I did when coming in was check my emails for any bookings for the day. Unprofessional.

Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly and attentive staff. Food was great, but a real shame that at the moment (6/24) they have to rely on outside assistance with this as they don't yet have a resident chef. I'm sure that will change soon. It is a real gem of a place, and another example of the tucked-away, cultural and culinary beauties that this unassuming town has to offer. Long may it last and thrive - and I have decided that I will be returning regularly. Thank you for creating such a fabulous place.
