Base Restaurant is located at The Coach House, hidden opposite the walled garden within Ulverston's Ford Park at the base of the Hoad Monument. It’s a beautiful 19th century building with terrace, fully licensed bar area and an open kitchen. Here Head Chef Mark Satterthwaite, born and bred in the South Lakes, makes the very most of the ingredients available locally producing dishes that garnered a prized AA rosette in 2022. The flavour-filled daytime menu is designed to accommodate all appetites and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings there is a weekly changing seven-course set menu which showcases the kitchen team's creativity. This can also be booked with specially selected, accompanying wine pairings. All dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for too, both daytime and evening, but these must be stated upon booking.
