I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting a top quality meal in a fantastically warm environment. Excellent food and top class service. Can't wait to go again!

Took wife & daughter for a special occasion. First time to Beatson House, hopefully not the last. Top class food and service. Try & find better!

A little gem of a restaurant that shows the best of British when it comes to food and great service.
The menu suits every taste and the sticky toffee pudding is to die for!
Accompanied with their own Boozy Infusion, after dinner liqueurs in Sticky toffee pudding, black forest gateaux and Jamaican ginger cake the deserts are a perfect end to a fantastic dining experience.
I have used this restaurant for Corporate Hospitality as well as personally with friends and family and never been disappointed.

We had heard good things about Beatson House and decided to give it a try this Sunday. When we arrived, we were pleased by the outside presentation of the building, it's outside decked area and ease of parking. The first fly in the ointment was the weather, though. The rain had been falling in heavy showers throughout the day and, as we arrived, was falling heavily. It was at this point that Beatson House first set itself head and shoulders above other restaurants in our experience. One of the staff came out to our car with a large umbrella and escorted us to the building to save us from getting wet! It was entirely unexpected, very pleasing and set the tone for the evening.
The food was excellent throughout. Nothing pretentious but everything cooked and presented very well and tasting superb. The serving team were attentive without being intrusive and the whole restaurant had a uniquely intimate feel due in the most part to the arrangement of the tables in rooms.
My only disappointment with the restaurant was that I hadn't discovered it sooner.
Highly recommended.

17th October 2009 - Adequate nothing special. Arbroath smoked fish Japanese style interesting but no wrong on so many levels Arbroath smokie with soya, wasabi and pickled ginger on sticky rice smoked salmon might have worked. Confit of duck tender but not roasted till crispy a rather flacid skin spoiled an easy dish. The crab starter was OK but hey dressed crab not difficult. The chicken dish was unmemorable. Food techniques if refined could have lead to a more memorable evening.

We've eaten at Beatson many times over the years. The food is quite exceptional - perhaps a little showy but never to mask a lack of taste or skill in preparation.
The decor and set up is divine although i have to admit i too hate the car park. Whether its the credit crunch or maybe I'm just paranoid but i couldn't get them to bring me water to save my life - had to ask 3 times!
The dining rooms are intimate and so the experience is so relaxing. I'm dying to try the private dining rooms when next we have a family celebration. But the limited space downstairs is so easily spoiled by loud diners.
If you only eat one thing try rose petal ice cream - delish.

Beatson House is one of those little treasures that hide away just waiting to be discovered. We were there just before Christmas and its such a refreshing change to have good food and good service. Its not stuffy there just nicely well mannered. No mobile phones, no screaming kids. Only downer for me is the small car park but hey if your well fed you can ignore that minor point - McDonalds has massive car parks but it in now way improves their food!!

Found this place by accident and what a gem! Waitress told us they never advertise and it was packed on a Tuesday night. Just superb

We have been going to Beatson House for several years and never had any cause for complaint.
