Good food, good service, excellent hand pulled Tetley's. Best in Huddersfield.

we went for our first meal to the beaumont arms today 5th october 2010 as the last time we went there was 1994. we found the portions to be more than average with a good choice of menu and at more than reasonable prices. we will certainly be giving our custom there again especially at Christmas as we can quite easily get to the pub without public transport.

Excellent, a large party of us went yesterday 11th August 2010, and the food and service were perfect, the food was all home made and not out of the freezer, which makes a refreshing change.

R.E The slip in the once beautiful Beaumont Arms.
The service leaves a lot to be desired, having ordered the house red wine at the bar it took ten minutes to reach our table and was chilled not at room temperature as red wine should be.
The atmosphere wasn't as bubbly as it once was as much as the new landlord tried his hardest to liven the place up.
After being constantly bugged by the gentlemen the food came and it had a lovely aroma, finally something was going right for our birthday gathering.
I ordered the sirloin steak which was ordered rare and it came medium to well and i should know the difference as i am a chef.
To the chefs defence there was trouble by the waitress understanding what i was asking for so the mix up could be directed in the direction of the service.
I love steak but this one tasted like it had been cooked on a pan or a griddled used to cook many other types of food.
Everybody at the table were happy with what the ordered but not excited as we used to be with other menus in the town centre.
We still left a tip, thinking about it my tip should of been make sure everything is better in two Sundays away when we return.

Reader recommendations tempted us to visit the Beaumont Arms for the first time on Friday 2nd May 2008.
Reserving a table by phone the day before was easy.
The restaurant staff were very attentive and the dining area was clean and comfortable, with lots of space between tables.
Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot, with plenty of chicken in the fricassee and and lots of chunky chips with the gammon. Our light and fluffy treacle sponges were complemented by two steaming coffees and a generous jug of cream.
Our trip was well worthwhile. Thank you to the earlier reviewers.

We used regularly eat here but hadn't been to The Beaumont Arms in over a year as we found that the quality of food, service and atmosphere on our past visits had really slipped, which was a real shame as it used to be so good.
Then some good friends recommended it again and told us that it has a new manager and that it was better than ever! Well, we weren't disappointed!
The change was apparent on walking through the door. We went early Friday evening and there was a real buzz upon entering the bar, full of people chatting and joking. We were warmly welcomed by a very chirpy chappy, who we later found out was the new landlord Pete.
We had a drink at the bar before our order was taken and my husband commented that quality of the beer was excellent and back to its former best. There was a good variety of dishes on the menu and several special fish dishes.
A lovely waitress showed us to our table which was nicely set and candlelit.
Our meal was lovely. The starters were delicious, the mains delicious and the chocolate brownie to die for. We'd certainly recommend the steak and the monk fish - all fresh and homemade, but we were also very tempted by so many dishes that we saw going to other tables.
The staff were very polite and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We're definitely going again and have booked for Valentines Day. If you want excellent restaurant quality food served in a relaxed, warm atmosphere, with a friendly and efficient service, book a table straight away - It's great to see this place better than ever!
Well done to the new management!

This pub is a very comfortable pub which sells great food and even better ale.Its seems to be the place to go to if you happen to be huddersfield area.
The menu consists of home cooked food served to you will the warm faces of the new landlord Peter Murphy or as he would put it his righhand man Ashley Coley.
