I was pretty disappointed with the new change of hands with Bella Roma. I must preferred the previous owners. I felt as if the new owner were more bothered to bring in their customers from the Ronaldi's than the regular customers.

The rumours about "Rustico" buying Bella Roma out have proved to be true after all. The last twice I & my wife have been there the usual owners were not about, and things have been deteriorating. The Creme Brulee was not caramelised on one occasion, the roast potatoes had been re-heated & were slushy & greasy, the fruit crumble has been removed from the menu, and the service has got slower. The waitresses seem to be disorganised and running about, on 2 occasions banging into my wife's chair whilst she was eating. I have praised Bella Roma on this & other review sites many times, and recommended you to many people. I'm afraid that after almost 20 years it's time to try elsewhere.

Ate there last weekend. Standard of food & service A1 as usual. Brought in-laws who agree its the best Italian in the area. Seen request before for Crumble dessert which is now on menu, but please could we have a cheese board as most of the other desserts are a bit on the sweet side.

the waitresses at the restaurant were amazing, they kept a constant supply of drinks, and were very polite when bringing out the beautiful food.
the food speaks for itself.
i definitely will be going again soon.

Abfab. Service, atmosphere & specially food top notch. How about a cheeseboard to finish off a memorable evening. Be warned...we'll be back.

Had a table booked Saturday evening 8.15 for 2. Rang at 7.35 asking to increase it to 3 people. It was sorted out immediately....hows that for service from a busy restaurant. Needless to say the food, service and atmosphere was up to its usual high standard. Keep it up Bella Roma !!!!

Ate here last night (Dec 09) and was pleasantly surprised we could choose from a normal menu, not a set Christmas special
there was lots of choice, all the usual pizzas and pastas but a much wider range of meat & fish specials than many Italians
Food was lovely & well priced,as was the wine.Service was very friendly and quick. The restaurant was busy so had a good atmosphere for tables of groups (like us) or couples wanting something more romantic.
Would definitely go again!

have just eaten at bella roma this weekend, was fantastic. the wine and food were superb.
the staff are very friendly and see to you every need and the chefs, they need a big pat on the back.
Have seen a couple of comments on here, about an english dessert, on the menu is an apple and blackberry crumble how english is that

Ate at Bella on Saturday. Busy, lively, great atmosphere, in fact can't be beaten in the area. Also, they take notice of customer suggestions...there's Black currant & Apple crumble on the menu, and it tasted great.

Have been regular patrons of "Bella Roma" for quite a few years, so we decided to try other Italian restaurants in the area for a change. In the last 6 months we have tried 7 in Wakefield, Batley, Dewsbury, Horbury and Morley. Guess what ? It's back to "Bella Roma". The selection is huge, the quality great, the staff happy & helpful, the prices reasonable. One thing only...how about a couple of "English" desserts. A nice fruit crumble or a cheese board would be great.
