I have been going to this place for the few times now. I am very pleased with it. The food here is great and cheap. The waiter service is great. I love visiting the Bengal and to have a laugh with the boys. They are just great guys. The best of the food are the Onion Bhajis and Mughal E Azam.

I went to this restaurant on Christmas eve. The atmosphere was okay. The waiting service was excellent! gentleman in black greeted us professionally and respectedly. We were offered drinks and made feel welcome. The drinks came in no time and we were offered pickles and popodoms. The same gentleman took our order and advised us about the food in a very professional manner, we were very pleased by then. The starters came fairly quickly even though they were buisy. The food was satisfactory but could have been better, the sundries i.e nan and rice was superb. We were not too happy about the way the food was served! the person serving the food did not seemed to have any knowledge and probably had language difficulties as he could not make out what we were trying to say. Over all a good place with average food but service needs to be looked at!

I went to this place (Bengal Brasserie) with my wife on Christmas eve. The atmosphere was okay but could have been better. The young man in black greeted us professionally and respectively. We were taken to the table and were offered drinks. we were mainly looked after this gentleman and the service was excellent. The starters were great and the food was okay but it could have been better. We were particularly not happy with the way our food got served! we were missing few things and the man bringing the food was not even aware. We prompted him 3 times and he brought them out with each prompt. Over all a good place with okay food but the servicing in general needs looking at!
Cumbrian.
live in Clecky and went here with the wife on a sunday night. Starters were just a nice portion without overfacing you, 6 poppadoms with pickletray were plenty for 2 healthy appetites. Main course was chicken jalfrezi for me and the wife had the chefs special curry {bit of everything } which came in a few separate dishes, a good idea in case there was an ingredient you weren.t keen on. we had 1 naan between us and almost had to raise the white flag as we were stuffed ! 4 bottles of Indian beer and total bill £36. service was quick and friendly, and discreetly overseen by the manager. what more do you want ! Come on locals, get yer sen round there and show a bit of support !

I have eaten here a number of times with my best friend ; they've recently had a refit and I have to say, the place has lost a lot of its intimacy. Part of the appeal of the place used to be that you could have a quiet conversation in peace and privacy - now that has gone.
The booths from the side of the dining area have been taken away in order to create a more open space and the lighting has been cranked up a notch. I can understand what they were trying to do - but when you enter now, you feel the place has lost a lot of its soul.
The food is average but not spectacular and the service is prompt ; there's not much choice of restaurants in Brighouse, though - so until something better comes up, I'll carry on going there.
