Called in on a whim on the way back to Leeds from Masham.
The food was absolutely wonderful, I had braised lamb shank with minted mash and warmed brie salad to start. The portions were generous and the food was well prepared.
Not cheap for a pub, but well worth paying the extra rather than a £7 steak in a chain pub.
Will be calling in again.

Under the current ownership/management, it's very child-friendly, as the manager has a young family himself. (Previous comment from 2003 may refer to previous management). The fine food is extremely high quality, and the staff are always friendly. You always get a good welcome. Mark also cooks the best take-away fish and chips in the world (ring for frying times). I always take my guests to this pub, as you can rely on consistent quality.
Swan At Burn Bridge, The
The ideal pub restaurant to wine and dine your loved one, if money is no object. Very un-child friendly.
