Had a fantastic meal at Blake Barn on 20th July. Staff very attentive, meals came out quickly and were piping hot and plenty on your plate. Plenty of choice too. Have booked again for 22 of us

Not impressed. We have only been to the Blake Barn once before now, and it was relatively good. However, after visiting recently we were appalled. The new managers are rude and unhelpful. They even sat at the bar DRINKING while on shift, and seemed to do little work. A particular manager, whom I think may have been called ADAM, seemed reluctant to help with our complaints and was more interested in joking around with waiting staff. The food we ordered took 45 mins to come out, and when it did it was cold and by the looks of it, MICROWAVED...and this was a steak. The establishment is shocking and I would never return.
On another note, the Pub smelt damp, definitely earned the name 'Barn'.

The food was absolutely disgraceful. I found a hair in my soup, which was also cold. When complaining, the manageress was rude and obnoxious. Not only were we standing around waiting for 40 minutes regardless of my wife's back problems but when finally seated it took a further hour before our starters came. After the starters FINALLY arrived, the main courses were shocking, to say the least. Vegetables were practically rotting on the plate and the potatoes were dry. Related to this, the plates were filthy which was very off putting. However, the puddings were lovely and the waiting staff were excellent and very apologetic. i recommend you go somewhere else to avoid the disappointment and devastation we experienced. SORT YOUR PUB OUT.

we recently visited on a recommendation from a colleague (thanks Blakey)and had a great time. Food was excellent made all the better as it was such good value, this being important as I'm not known for flashing the cash. Anyway we have booked for Christmas and look forward to much of the same value.
Thanks to all the staff (any chance of a discount?)

went in this place yesterday and had a meal that was very forgettable, poor service and in my eyes at £19.47 for 6 people including a jug of tapwater very pricey.
Anyway have already booked for christmas so will try again

The boil in the bag capital of the pub world. Service very quick due to this method of cooking so would recommend it for those with a busy life style. Wicked.

Visited on a Sunday lunch, place was very busy indeed - but was seated by polite member of staff very quickly! Food and service was excellent. Members of management visible - which is unusual to see sometimes!! would recommend it to anyone in the area. prices of meals were excellent and all two for the price of one including Sunday dinner.

When I went to the Blakes barn I felt that there was a polite staff member waiting on by the name of Dan he was very polite, also was helpful with what it was I wanted to eat as I was unsure about what I wanted. When the food was brought to my table I enjoyed it so much I left a good tip

The Blake Barn provides two for one dining. We chose steak and scampi. The food was well cooked and tasty with an excellent salad garnish. The staff are all lovely, This is a very popular local pub which I would recommend but, get there early!
