The halloumi, mushroom and spinach burger really was to die for. I want to recreate it at home but I know it wont be the same. Worth a trip to St Ives for!

We stumbled across this unassuming but buzzing place, quite by accident and it was SO good, we had to go back the next night as we couldn't stop thinking about it and were dying to try the other delicious burgers on the menu! It's all VERY informal, has top quality ingredients and a very friendly atmosphere, not to mention great staff (despite them being a bit hassled at times as they were so busy). I can't wait to go back again when we stay in St Ives this year....

Walked past one night and it was buzzing, though the window you can see the kitchen and the girls working like Trojans and it was packed out inside and with people queuing to get a table. Mental note to come back another time as we had already eaten at "the mex" another must try in St Ives, that evening. We came back on Monday night, walk through the door and the smells and sounds hit your senses, loved the informality, no table bookings taken just hang out till they can seat you about 10mins that’s all, the communal benches, the recycles cardboard seats, no frilly place settings here, a simple jug of cutlery on the table to help yourself all adds to the experience. Starters were sardines. Fresh from the sea done on the griddle. That’s it nothing added or taken away just a squeeze of lime or lemon if you wish, they were awesome. Chillies burger with blue cheese all homemade, the sauce was out of this world with chillies lemon grass and lime that gave it a tangy bite with out being overbearing. But then the best kept secret.” the pudding" described as amazing chocolate fudge brownie it was that good that i cannot possibly even try to describe it, suffice to say we had a second helping. A unique dining experience and well worth the effort to find it !

The place was great, the burgers were amazing and the service was some of the best i've ever had. Personal, cosy, individual, refreshing and most of all - incredibly tasty. If you are going to St. Ives, go to Blas.

Words fail me, their burgers are the best I've had, I thought Gourmet Burger Kitchen was the best but Blas beats them by a mile. If your going to St Ives, go there!

Blas is just what St Ives needed, I've eaten there 4 times and to coin a phrase from the Golden Arches co. "I'm lovin it!" Their approach to good food is refreshing and they have great burger combo's. Can't recommend them enough.

we loved everything about this place, and none of us are vegans, hippies or friends of the earth. they take food seriously which means it tastes good and they're nice people so you leave happy.

Excellent food, offered to do other dishes, as I am a vegetarian. Good prices. Can't praise it highly enough, will visit again. Top class.
