My wife, mother-in-law and myself, travelled to Lytham from Wakefield today, to pick up something we had bought off ebay.
As we had never been to Lytham before, everything was new to us. We parked up opposite The Blue Pig Coffee House and asked the on duty traffic warden about the parking restrictions.
Because he was about to go on lunch break, he said he wouldn't be back for an hour and would log us on when he returned, so at least 2 hours parking. Well done sir at 1315 today in Dicconson Terrace.
We walked across to The Blue Pig and were shown to a table under a skylight, my ma-in-law is nearly blind. That's good service!!
We all 3 ordered the 8oz. burger, me tea, my in-law the hot chocolate and my wife a large white wine.
The service was so very friendly and the quality unsurpassable!!! The background music was just so relaxing and not too loud.
The food was very well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful, pointing out old furniture shops that might be useful to us. We had travelled to collect an old chair.
Cannot recommend The Blue Pig highly enough. A very refreshing place to relax and unwind in this fast moving world that we live in.
We have even been talking about going to the area again for a longer stay, just so we can experience The Blue Pig again and do some exploring.

Had the french onion soup with handcooked chips, excellent homecooked food. Service was friendly and the atmosphere good on a busy bank holiday lunch. Like the menu and will return to try more of the interesting choices.

We stumbled upon the Blue Pig Coffee House by chance, and we were so pleased with what we found, we had an excellent breakfast, which was just perfect, with lovely, friendly helpful staff. Will definitely go again.

Very busy February Saturday at the "Blue Pig" My partner ,Daughter & I were having a hard time choosing what to order, only because the Vegetarian options are poor. We don't always want just roast veg on a panini. So please up the anti & put more Veggie choices on the Menu also fish for eg; poached salmon/ salmon fish cakes/ goujons & dips? The place is lively & smart.

I found this smart little coffee house by chance and what a fantastic find!!!
This is more than a little coffee shop the food there was out of this world....
The staff are friendly helpful and happy, we were made to feel like it was our 2nd home.
We had the home made it was a thick soup with chunky veg the way my gran used to make then we had a panini with pesto. I felt like my mouth was having a party all my taste buds were dancing!!!
Its been along time since i enjoyed a lunch as good as this for the price, i would highly recommend that every one try the blue pig.

Following excellent recommendations on Sugarvine, my friend and I recently tried the Blue Pig on one of our regular 'catch up' lunches. We were not disappointed. A warm welcome on a miserable wet and windy November day soon had us relaxing in pleasant surroundings, and we had a very enjoyable lunch, excellent food, value for money and very friendly staff. I also noted about 4 different families with pushchairs arrived over the lunchtime period, all were made very welcome and suitable tables found. Well done to the owners and staff - we will visit again!
