having recently been taken over by new management i can highly recommend people visit. the staff and management are very pleasant and welcoming and the home made food is sublime and reasonably priced

Having visited the Boat and Railway on three occasions to date, we have found the quality and value of the lunchtime carvery to be excellent. Superb turkey, vegetables fresh just like'home' while the gravy is the 'icing' on the whole meal.

This is a very welcoming canalside pub and much of the traditional style of such pubs has been retained. An extension has been added to house a carvery and restaurant. The food is freshly cooked on the premises and not only is the meat appetising but the vegetables are carefully prepared and cooked to retain their flavour and colour. This is my favourite Bromsgrove restaurant for English food.
