Seriously old fashioned. Dining like this surely a thing of the past - the dining room is silent except for whispering at adjacent tables (but easy to hear if interested!). The three course meal is set and served exactly when the kitchen says so - not exactly either relaxed or exciting. However the food quality is of a standard to be expected from a named chef - but making a set meal, served when the chef decides (for six covers at an April weekend) is not exactly pressurised cooking. Final comment - don't expect the usual hotel breakfast (size etc) if staying overnight - the haddock and poached egg portion size was a joke!
