About Bodega

Bodega in Christchurch is a buzzy tapas bar with ambient lighting and an open kitchen. Meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are brought to life as you kick back and relax and there’s a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails too to complement the food. Weekend afternoons see a popular Bottomless Brunch on offer and during the week there’s an early evening Cocktail Hour. Bodega is also available for private hire if you are planning a party or corporate event. Whether it’s sharing a coffee and catching up with friends, a business lunch, after-work drinks or a celebration – Bodega’s got you covered.

Three of us tried here for a change and overall thoroughly enjoyed it. We chose some good French Pinot Noir which was reasonably priced. Tapas wise, we slightly over-ordered and our favourites were the Prawn Pil-pil, Pig Cheek, Sausages and the Bread Basket.

Visited Bodega this week and the food was delicious, red wine gorgeous and the service from Dawn was fantastic as always. Felt like we were in a tapas bar abroad somewhere, decor and ambiance fabulous. 10/10

Our second visit to Bodega. On this occasion we had the delicious pig cheeks, potato bravas, octopus, meatballs, prawns pil pil, garlic sausages, chorizo paste on bread and the dates with cheese. All washed down with a bottle of red wine. The food was all tasty and well prepared by Danny. We ordered the food in three waves. The only hiccup was the waitress failed to put our second order of tapas through. It was only when Danny came over to ask if we wanted more food she admitted she hadn’t put the order through. Luckily, although we were going to a show, we still had enough time to finish the meal. But we were not particularly impressed with her attitude.
