Wonderful welcome - very accommodating. We stopped off for a cuppa and a bun - lovely coffee and cakes and puddings were delicious. Definitely recommend!

We called at Brambles after a walk on the fells. The welcome was warm and inviting for both us and our two cocker spaniels. The coffee and scones were delicious. We will definitely be visiting Brambles on our future visits to Windermere!

It was a wet Windermere lunchtime in late June when three of us called in for some repast. We were lucky enough to find a vacant table and take advantage of the soup and bacon sandwich special, an inspired choice and great value for money. It was our third attempt in three summers as it had always been full, and is easy to see why. What superb fare and value for money.

We had to visit Brambles after seeing it on The Lakes, my husband had a breakfast which looked fresh and he said it was tasty, I had a scone which was warm and delicious, our son (who was fed up with walking) was cheered by the owners who had a little banter with him and offered him some games to play with. The owners were attentive and cheerful we would certainly visit again.

We visited this year April, 2012 came across it during our walk-about of Windermere....and recognised the shop because I had watched the lakes documentary and it's progress on TV. EXCELLENT food, and friendly service. Very relaxed atmosphere and it was full. We will be visiting again on our frequent trips to the lakes.!!

Visited twice during half term and our children were warmly welcomed by the owner offering them toys to play with which helped us all relax and enjoy the enormous slices of cake and welcome drinks. Would recommend and will be back. :)
